I've never been to a final regular season home game where your defensive stars ALL score TD's. Mandela Roberts and Leonard (all-world) Hewitt both returned picks for TD's and Jamie Harris pulled off the best strip and run job I've ever seen - returning a fumble 65 yards for a score. Throw in your other senior EJ Shankle's two td runs - including a 16 yard reverse in which he re-reversed the field, running about 75 yards, for a td - and you've got the best senior last home game I can ever remember - cool!

I know everyone is proud of their seniors and the last home game for them is always special. Lufkin started a great tradition last year of introducing all seniors and their parents at the last home game. Really puts a lump in your throat when you remember these kids running around with your child in kindergarden together.

And, speaking of kindergarden - Pack0808's kg class sang the Star Spangled Banner last night -- then the teachers barely got 'em off the field before the kickoff!

I take back my great offensive showing comment then. You had a decent offensive game against a tough defense. You played very opportunistic defense and they all count the same. Big plays can win or save a game.

does anyone else announce each senior band member on senior night and then play the entire show taking 30 minutes? Grapevine did this and I cannot remember if Carroll does it too.

DFF - the half time is 28 minutes - if SGP took 30 minutes of it - they need to be fined or something - that is ridiculous if that's the way I understand it. We do our intros before the game.

BTW - your sig. line is a bit perplexing to threads - what's up with the two quotes as your signature?

I liked watching the Woodlands band, but the last two years they have taken up almost the whole halftime, which made Lufkin rush to get theirs in. I think next time our band should just start playing when it is time for them to get out there. That was a great game. Alot of people keep saying it was because of the defense that won the game for Lufkin. That may be true, but I think Lufkin's offense was only on the field for a few drives each half and thats it thanks to the hard hitting defense. You guys may have ran the ball well on us, but I betcha both runningbacks are evry sore this morning, cause they were getting hit hard!!! Also Lufkin's runningback got injured as well, I hope he is ok.
