I gotta give some dap to all the SLC secondary tonight, Ashlock,Agnew,Winsett,FORD, everyone that filled in and helped out with the injury to scott simpson. That's what the game came down to, and they stepped up. It shows alot about this team and this defensive unit once agian.

When I read the score, I thought that Grapevine must have played really well or that SLC had an off day. I heard SLC were a missing a few starters. Who of the starters is all injured and did not play last night.

We traveled to see SLC game and continued to be impressed with a continually improving defense as well as strong second half OL play. As for Ford...he really stepped up. Simply outstanding! MAC also had another big night. About 379yds (my count) with at least three long passes dropped. Expect over 400/game in any game he is allowed to play without the QB carousel bit. Downfield blocking by SLC receivers continues to be essential for optimum spread performance. Little recognized receiver James Allen obviously understands that and continues to make some of the finest downfield blocks we've seen in 5A. Big, strong, fast, and with good hands, we think Allen could also do well at running back. Wondered about the backup QB's athletic abilities being better utilized at running back on swings, underneath, outs. Finally happened. Believe this is and can be a devastating offensive weapon. Go Dragons!

Allen was a big part of the offense last year but with 8 quality WR's he gets lost in the shuffle a bit..your right about the blocking..he is crushing people..

Agreed. He is a very good blocker, he had an uncharacteristic fumble on the last drive, but he is still a very valuable part of this offense. I would love to see how many Yards After the Catch that McKay has. I bet that number would be one of the best in the state. When he is in the open field, good luck tackling him.
