Why is it you gave COVE 14 points?? Perhaps they took them from you!! Great game AMC you have a good team. This was by far the best AMC has played this year and yet it was not enough. COVE has taken eveyones best shot and come out on top so far. Belton is next on the way to 2 perfect seasons in 13-5A then onto the playoffs. GOOOOOOOOODAWGSSSSSSSSS!!!!

I was at the game, and Cove is very one demensional. They wont go past the Quarterfinals for sure in my opinon. They had a good defense and a good running game at times. Their offense didn't look too good tonight, only scoring 7 points.

The offense was very flat last night, first drive went right down the field then nothing....Cove is mostly a running team but for some reason JAck wanted to pass a lot...AMC had a good running attack, Palmer is good, but defense held when they had to most and came up with the big play 3 times....

Consol was the better team...at least had more dominating play overall. Consol had 209 yards (including losing 40 yards on a block punt) to Cove's approximately 150 yards and Consol's defense gave up only 7 points to Cove's offense; Cove's first offensive drive of the night. However, Cove made big plays and knew how to capitalize on them. Congrats to both teams!

I think this may possibly be a one and done year for Cove again....the signs are pointing to it. I do not think that this is their best team ever.

both teams do not have the balance it takes to win in the playoffs. AMC also does not have the coaching. Both tems just simply rely on their bread and butter far too much, just doesnt work in this day of 5A football like it will in 2A or 1A. Let's also keep in mind that this is a fairly weak district.

AMC and their fans are a joke. Better luck next year. You get beat now the team that beat you is not very good. If you had won it would be a whole different story!!

2 years in a row undefeated in this district. AMC played the best they possibly could and still did not win. COVE has taken everyones best shot and all they do is win. :D

I agree our offense struggled quite a bit tonight but also AMC Defense was pretty damn good. Neither team played as good as they could have and AMC may have played better on offense. This was the third time this year that COve has came out and went down the field for a TD on the opening drive and then went flat the rest of the game. I have no clue why this happens when they can be so explosive at times.
COve Defense won this game for them tonight with the stellar efforst of Tim Atchinson and Co.
Good teams find a way to win when its in a tough fight and again the DAWGS did that tonight against a decent opponent. Are was as good as Lufkin? Are we going deep in the playoffs? Tough questions to answer and on paper and for a majority of the people on this site the answer would be no. Even i have my doubts but i will be here to support them and hope they can go deep. If not, no biggie, we accomplised three goals already, a winning season, DISTRICT CHAMPIONS, making the playoffs. Not that this is enough but we DAWG fans are thankful for anouther great season. After all, its better than five of the other teams in district who will be setting at home after next Friday night.

Ya, lewis was quite an athlete.....i think our d did a great job with the misdirection stuff of amc....palmer gave us all we could handle....it was a great game like coach welch said.....but amc gave us a full 48 minutes of football and that will help us down the road....good luck to amc in the playoffs and im sure yall will rep 13-5a well....

Yea,Yea,Yea AMC lost the game move on and do good in the playoffs. NO ONE has beaten COVE in 2 years in this district but you say they are not good. GO FIGURE :rolleyes: Defense is not that good but they scored twice. Talk about contradicting your own statements!

Cove is district Champ....again, and will be focused on Belton next, Belton's defense is very good, and that will be the focus....we can talk playoffs after next week

And who did yall throw to and try and tie the game? Lewis and who picked it off? Atchinson..He had 2 picks, one for TD, a blocked punt and fumble recovery for a TD. Cove gave out their first game ball ever last night to Atchinson. That tells how much he really meant in last nights win

we didnt have a safety spy on hawk, i dunno what you saw but that was definitely not the plan,and the corner we had guarding hawk the whole game wasnt our best corner,our best corner is lewis but he has just become more of a reciever, but im sure if you look hawks and lewis's stats theres nothing about them that is close

well hawk may not have the best stats but he is good and the only reason why his stats arent so great because of the run offense we have.. he has to share yards with garner, buckram, and millsap so thats why his stats arent the best :D

Cove and AMC are both good and have made the playoffs, now quit crying.

It don't matter who thinks who is better. Cove won the game and its over for this year. Woulda, coulda, shoulda, etc....... don't matter much now. Hell a hurricane could have hit and it would have made a difference but it didn't and Cove won the game. GET OVER IT!!!

You keep crying about how Lewis is all this and that then bring home a state title and then you can talk, until then, shut the hell up on both sides.

DAWGS Fans, we got this week at Belton to think about and try to preserve the 10-0 season. Lets focus on that instead of a game we have already won at AMC. No matter how you analize it they are going to keep crying so lets be the better team and move on to the next challenge.
