Well, counting among all 11-man classifications there are only 5 programs who have been to 3 or more state finals and never lost. And none of the 5 are currently 5A.
Garland is the only one that I know of that has played in 3 or more state championships in the largest classification and won all of them. They did lose in the 1955 3A Final though...

yes I saw those, but was that not before there was any "classification' system. When has Midland Lee lost a finals? Maybe they have but I could not remember it. Garland? Garland lost in the second highest class, but not the highest. Maybe it should worded" since there has been multiple classifications"

The Class B district winners played the Class A district winners in 1924 and 1925 towards a single state title.
After almost every single Class B team lost to the Class A teams two years in a row, they changed the format such that the Class B teams would play one or two playoff games and multiple Class B Regional Champs were named.
Then in 1939 they added another division.... 2A. Only 2A teams played to a state title while both the 1A and B teams played 1 or 2 playoff rounds and multiple Regional Champs were named in the lower classifications. The whole Regional Champ concept continued in Class B all the way through the 1971 season before it was finally done away with and all classes played to a state title after that.

Wasnt it 1948 when there was first three champioms crowned? Thats where I thought it was Abilene, from there on, has never lost a championship game, and in fact was one of the few that won three in a row in the large class.

It doesn't bother me. I just find it funny when someone post a "trivia" question when its obvious their school is one of the answers....Epic Fail.
It just screams "Look at me! Look at me! My team didn't always suck this bad"
Oh, and I'm not picking on Garland. You aren't the only one that has posted so-called "trivia" questions on the board.

Every single one of them is listed in the database, including the teams they beat to get there and the scores. Just scroll down to 1971 or earlier and the Regional Champs are labeled as such in BOLD RED letters
U.I.L. 11-man Football Playoff Game Database 1920-2007 (http://idisk.mac.com/cboehme69-Public/playoffs/5aplayoffsweb.xls)
In fact, Garland earned a couple of Regional Championships back in 1943 and 1944 when they were a much smaller school.

Here's the cheat sheet... 97 teams have appeared in 3 State Finals or more all-time. This includes all UIL 6-man, 8-man and 11-man State Championship games
BOLD years are Championship years
Ch = Championships won
Ru = Number of times as Runnerup

I believe the answers he is looking for are Garland and Abilene
Abilene has won the last 5 State Championship games they've played in dating back to the 1920's, all 5 of which were in the largest existing classification
Garland has won all 3 State Championship games they've played in the largest existing classification
Lewisville is undefeated in State Championship games in the largest classification but they've only played in 2.

The one I thought would surprise was Austin Reagan, DOMINANT in the late 60s,(won three in four years) but I forgot they lost in 73 to JT. And I had forgotten Midland Lee had lost to Judson before they went on the Benson run. But who the hell hasnt lost ot Judson at some point

Having the last word seems to be very important in your intelectual and social network. You represent a freak High school (sorry, "Senior" high school) that has nothing in the nation that compairs to the way that the sports participation is tricked up. Your posts and pop offs have been proven to be lies. You are an obvious braggart and coward. Much of your comments are to impress some children and homosexuals. Yes, Garbage. And I mean all of that in a nice way. Just trying to help you.

Instead of actually having a grown up conversation you always revert to your same ole insults and continue to embarrase yourself. As you know more and more people are commenting on your insightful hate filled comments.
How am I a coward? Because I call you out for being rude, inconsiderate and naive on this board and continue to insult me and others because we have a difference of opinion?
Also please explain how my comments are geared toward impressing children and homsexuals? Again, your comments continue to reflect on the true person you really are. Your digging your on grave and not generating much support on this board.
I'm curious if you would allow your family to read your posts out load if you were sitting in front of them? The sad thing is you probably would.
