Sounds like New York's gun controls laws and its lack of a death penalty for repeat violent offenders is really working. I'm sure a NYC jury of his peers will hear about and be sympathetic to the man's disadvantaged childhood, his substance abuse, his lack of employment alternatives. They will probably conclude it's not his fault, it's society's fault.

I say, get a rope. There is no reason whatsoever for the people of New York to spend $70,000 per year on his incarceration.
