Lufkin,s defense was awesome tonight. Beside the sweep that The Woodlands ran that was really all there was to them, and they ran it well ,but not enough to get the td,s they needed. The pack,s defense was all over the field .And Shanle was having his way. Pack should have put up 50 pts . Final 42-17 Lufkin................. :D

I agree. TWHS had one big running play on the sweep, and a pass interferance call in the 1st half that put them in scoring position. Other than that, they couldn't reach the red zone. They had a few decent drives, but were in no way a threat to THE PACK "D" all night. Outside of those two drives, they scored a FG. The game was never close. Total domination by the "D". If LP could get their "O" to gel and run as smooth as their "D", they would be a serious contender. They may be anyway. Their "D" is "THAT GOOD".

The Lufkin defense did not play their best overall game tonight, but came up very big in the turn over department, that compensated for a couple of pass coverage breakdowns and the inability to really clamp down on the outside pitch and the draw play to Montague #1. The big plays for TD's by the defense made up for the other yards they gave up. When you win 42-17, it is hard to find anything negative. Great game at big Abe tonight.

You are dead on about the defense Pack!! This was hardly their A plus game but they still played very well by scoring on turnovers and looked great at times. Overall i give the defense a B+ but it would be a C+ if it was not for the turnovers and scoring 3 td's. :eek: You are right they won big so it is hard to complain.
