Cove Defense is the difference in this game for the first half.
Time Atchinson is caging up those Tigers so far. Interception for a TD, and a team blocked punt that he returned for a TD.

This is what AMC likes and they have been in this situation several times this year so you know they are ready to try ang make the comback again. I do not think the DAWGS will allow that to happen but AMC has proved they can do it this year already. DAWGS will adjust and put it away in the 3rd quarter.

let me just say that the 4th quarter was one of the more physical quaters of highschool football that I have ever seen. Both teams had their chances of winning the game. Very dissapointed in the ACM coaching staff as they wasted many valuable seconds on the final drive. On several occasions the clock would start running after first downs, and the entire team was still waiting for the coaches to signal in the play. Even happened after a 4th down conversion. How can you not in that situation call your fourth down play and your first down play during the timeout. Talk about being unprepared, outcoached and not even giving your kids a chance. ACM will have to get a little more balance offense to have a good playoff run. They have the defense.

CONGRATS COVE another district title. Good game AMC. It was closer than I expected. Now lets beat Belton and go undefeated in the district for 2 years running. Playoffs next!! GOOOOOOOOOO DAWGGGGGGGSSSSSS!!!

AMC beat'em everywhere except where it counts. Great game and AMC coaches had a great game plan to keep the ball away from Coves offense and was very successful most of the night.

Two blown plays (an interception in the Red Zone & let a blocked punt happen at the 15 yard line both time Coves Defense scored)) by by AMC's Offense which made the difference in the game. Cove is a great team and took full advantage of the two mistakes.

Last play of the game should have been called as Pass interference Cove defender pushed AMC-Detron Lewis out of the End Zone right in front of the Ref. Then Cove's DB Atkinson stepped infront of the ball after the other Cove defender had pushed Detron Lewis out of the End Zone. Should have been a 15 yard penalty and AMC gets another try at the end zone. Doesn't mean AMC would have scored with another try but the game should'nt have ended on a blown call by a ref.

Congratulations Cove on the district championship and the AMC Tigers should have gained a little confidence out of the game too because even though they were out scored in the game, AMC out played the Cove Dawgs which are the #8 ranked team in the State.

Great Game to watch - but unfortuantely somebody had to lose.

Yes, A&M did have some good plays. However, Cove had more good plays which put more points on the board.

Didn't see where anyone mentioned the refs being very very slow on blowing the whistle on more than a couple of occassions when our running back was stopped. This resulted in Buckram getting mauled several times and Cove fans booing their heads off.

Also seemed like the referee would let A&M get ready for their next play before he would blow the whistle and start the clock. One time the referee fell down as he tried to get out of the way. This happened because A&M was lined up and executed their play almost same time as ref blew the whistle..... this resulted in the ref falling down in the backfield......

Cove band played like they used too. Got the fans all reved up. Sure hope they continue to play for our game with Belton and the play-off games.
