Katy Board Down

For those who frequent the Katy board (ktrainstation.net), just wanted to let you know that The Planet (aka Rackservers, aka EV1servers) had a massive power outage yesterday afternoon (it literally caught several transformers on fire) and as a result over 8000 servers and 7500 clients are down.

It's expected to be back up today, but don't know when yet. Keep the faith Tigers.

That's okay, at least you have a valid excuse. The Carroll board is up and running but well over a week behind now. You can still come here and share with the rest of us.

Hey DrEdward I got a 67 chevy stepside that I gotta rebuild the 350 motor in. What day can I expect you to help me?

I already rebuilt the engine in an old 86 Chevy stepside with a 350. Given today's gas prices, I would recommend a smaller engine, unless you really need the torque that thing could put out. As I recall it was not the most fuel efficient vehicle I ever owned. Or I have a reconditioned 2.2 litre inline 6 long block that you could adapt to fit. :D

Reminds me of the 67 mustang I had with the inline6. I don't think there was anything faster off the line than that old car. Sold it to a buddy of mine that pulled the 6 out and installed a 351 clevland. I hated him ever since! :D

I saw on the news about recent riots that broke out in the Katy area... it was rumored that a online message board that went down was the major cause... luckily this supposed message board was put back up just in time, distruction in Katy is rumored to still not equal that of the money raised by the Katy booster club
