Another thread made me think about making this thread. How many titles could this bunch win if they were all at the same school at the same time? The first 4 were together, but split up after 1 title and they all won a title or titles.
Frank Arnold
D.W. Rutledge
Dennis Parker
Jim Rackley
Danny Padron
This fails to mention all the other long-time assistants Judson has had.
If 6 is the number we have to work off of, I say they'd have at least 10-11 title since 1983 if they stayed together.

Judson, thank you for having good coaches all these years.

Don't forget Pete Gibbens..he assisted D.W. with several of those state championship teams of the 90's. I think that Wagner is going to be strong right out of the gates next year, no matter what district they end up in.

Yeah, Gibbens was the man. Did I mention Jeter, too?

lonny,
Don't forget the great father/son combo that has had as big an influence on Judson athletics as any single coach - Jim & Mike Wacker.
Coach Jim Wacker had a great career everywhere he went, and DW Rutledge has stated many times what a positive influence Coach Wacker had on his life out at TLC. If I remember correctly, Coach Rutledge was driving a beer truck and making deliveries when Coach Wacker approached him about playing ball at TLC. All the Judson faithful know what impact DW Rutledge had on Rocket football.
Going on to stints at Southwest Texas, Minnesota, and TCU, Coach Wacker had a great career. His character during the problems at TCU was admirable, to say the least.
His son, Mike Wacker, is both a great Judson basketball coach and a wonderful teacher. He was my Freshman Orientation instructor. I've never seen a man be so passionately honest with his students. He showed us "Rudy" in class and truly believed that any of us could accomplish something similar in magnitude with our lives. I have always appreciated him for that semester I spent in his classroom.
