Did any of you other Dragons see the sign that was hung on the In-door field? As if the Dragons needed any more motivation.

Did they also take down all of the signs that the booster club moms put up? Someone called me and told me that. They also said that they saw some kids washing some of the cafeteria windows. I wonder if these are related incidents. Nothing beats the time that Keller tried to burn down the field house.

So much for me hoping that tonight's game would be a classier showing by GCISD. Apparently they are trying to top CHHS's bs.

I did not think that was possible. The strange thing is that the players on CHHS were probably the classiest team that the Dragons played all year.

Oh, I was just refering to the fans.
Ya, the 'game' itself was pretty clean. It wasn't full of cheap shots, and obvious attempts at injury... Which is something we've gotten used to this year.
It's really a damn shame, man. It's pretty obvious that some of the players on these teams have adopted a 'If you can't beat em, hurt em' attitude.

I believe a lot of that is through frustration! When you have had a good season or run of seasons and you are always getting beat by one team then you tend to be frustrated. It is not unlike Mike Tyson biting Hollyfields ear! Tyson had enjoyed tremendous succsuss and was getting his *** kicked so he flipped out and tried to beat by intimidation. We all know what befell that fine fellow!

There was a big sign hanging on the indoor, facing the street, that said "Grapevine Pride." I didn't hear about the window stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if it were true though. Tonight will get ugly. Hopefully the score is the only part that gets ugly and the refs and coaches can keep the other stuff under control.

I sincererly hope we do not have the same refs that we have been getting where they call Pass Interferance on Renfro when the other guy has him wraped up and tackled before the ball gets there! The worst refs have been for the Plano East game, and the CHHS game. I am afraid that they may be back for tonights game.

Please don't let us get those guys back. My favorites were the fantom call against Simpson and the double pass interference against Smiter and the Keller db in the endzone. The Renfro one was just rediculous.

FYI I saw a lot of that in the SGP/Irving Mac game. They didn't even point the right way half the time. They would point at SGP and it was against Irving Mac and the other way around. The players would just stand there because they would get excited only to have it go the other way. TERRIBLE
stripes that night. Also, ET's back got an interference last week 2 feet in front of the receiver...right in front of us...no way did he interfere. But I hope that no ref decides the big games by making really bad calls.

I can handle a few mistakes by the "human" officials, but it sure seems that our last few games have really been bogged down by the number of penalties on both sides. I don't like when the officiating interrupts the flow of the game. It's not good when you are looking over the field expecting a flag after each play. Not saying most calls were good or bad, just saying it feels like the flow of the game has been severley interrupted lately by the number of flags and the amount of time it takes to make a call.

Yeah, I'm at school right now, there's red writing all over our cafeteria and front door windows. Just a lot of crap about 'Hey I'm rich too!' and stupid 1st grade pictures...really unclassy. I know people from Grapevine, and they aren't like that at all, but a small group of them really gave them a bad name today. Grapevine-SLC used to be a really intense rivalry, but a rivalry with class. All this was was a group of punks who tried to beat us the only way they could...last night while none of us were here. Grapevine fans may get a laugh out of it, but Carroll will remember it tonight, and for years to come, that I can guarantee.

I'm with yaw on these bad ref's. Most of our bad calls and there have been some "humdingers" have been from these Dallas chapter ref's. When we played out in Tyler there were some horrible calls too! I believe correct me if I'm wrong if we play out of Tarrant co. we get Dallas ref's if that is the county we are playing in. Guess who most likely will be reffing the playoffs
at Texas Stadium?? You Tarrant Co. folks know that the sherriff Anderson is on a crew and don't do to bad a job. :D :D

They were saying at the game last night that the GHS kids were nabbed by noon on Friday. A Rumor going around also was that these same kids rubbed feces on the CSHS fieldhouse. The link is to a picture of the run through banner that the Dragon cheerleaders made. Its kinda blurry, but I typed on the web page what it says.

Having two former CISD principals as the leaders of CHHS & GHS I'm sure played a role in the dealings w/ each (CHHS & GHS respective student bodys). I know Robin Ryan had a pow wow w/ the students at CHHS after they were booing during the playing of the CHS alma mater song, and some of the t-shirts they(CHHS Students) were wearing at the game.

There is a growing problem at the Grapevine Stadium with both sides intermingling in the parking lot and the merged entrances & exits...there were a lot of idiot (mostly HS age) G vine fans cussing & whining about the result in the middle of large groups of Carroll fans, who for the most part, shook their heads and tried to ignore them...there will be a problem someday...

I hope that they press criminal charges against them. I don't want them to just be punished for school. I want them to go to jail if they are of age. Atleast they should spend the night. I have not lived in Southlake my whole life, and where I am from nothing gets vandalized, because if it did they would be met with a little vigilante justice.

The sign on the indoor would have been a nice touch for harmless rivalry prank. Painting on the windows and paint balling the sign are criminal mischief that should be procecuted. I think that the kids should be forced to do community service to the Dragons such as making them run with the flags at the Football games. Serving as trash pickup detail after the games, etc.

Maybe they can hold the run through banner right in the middle on the ground level so that when the Dragons run throgh the banner they would be running through them!
As a side note. That actually happened at the last Carroll Middle School game where one of the cheerleaders was in the middle of the banner because she was not yet set when the team went through the banner. She was knocked out cold by one of the guys as he was coming through the banner. She was down on the field for about 8 mins while they took care of her. It was one of the funniest yet scariest moments I have every witnessed. She was alright but I think a lession in paying attention was learned!
