damn, what a time for Thompson. The Big 12 champ out of Texas A&M would have finished 2nd with a cool 10.03... Baylor True Freshmen (actually, should be a senior in HS) Robert Griffin won the Big 12 Title in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 49.22... not too shabby for a kid that is a dual threat QB, and had never run the 400 hurdles prior to this season (Texas HS only runs the 300), let alone trained with the Baylor Track team for a full semester.

Robert Griffin clocked a personal-best time of 49.22 to win the men's 400-meter hurdles. Griffin, who graduated a year early from high school, was competing in just his fourth race of the season, following the completion of spring football practice. The time ranks as the third-fastest in Baylor history, and is the fourth-fastest time in the nation this year.

"It feels good," said Griffin. "Being a freshman - I graduated early from high school - I was actually supposed to run in a state meet a couple weeks ago. But, to come out here and win as a freshman is a big accomplishment. I just knew I could come out here and run fast. I hit the first hurdle, but after that I ran a clean race."

Big 10 sucks

Yeah, that Big 10 had their Outdoor Championhips last week and their 100 Meter Dash winner had a time of 10.29...That really ain't that bad, but that time would have been good enough for 8th place in the SEC and 4th place in the Big 12...

Big 10 probably need to stick to throwin that long thing-that spear or whatever that thing is and the cannonball.... :cool:
