this was a desperate loss for bryan, with 27 seconds and from the 4 yard line on 4th and 2, bryan fumbles the snap and the game is over

That sucks for Bryan lets Heights in though if they take care of business. What was the final score??

That's a tough way to lose. I think that completely knocks them out of the playoffs. Not trying to rub it in, but I'd rather than Consol goes D1 if possible.

Tough loss.

Bobbled Snap All But Ends Vikings Playoff Hopes

KILLEEN -- With under a minute to play and 5 yards from scoring the game tying touchdown, Chris Mancuso bobbles the snap from center on 4th and 2 all but ending the Vikings hopes of a playoff berth in district 13-5A.

Harker Heights would have to lose their final two games of the regular season and Bryan beat A&M Consolidated in the crosstown showdown next week to earn the league's 3rd and final playoff spot.

Three first half turnovers lead to 21 Shoemaker points. T.J. Jennings picked off Chris Mancuso which lead to Antoine Gibb's 16 yard touchdown run for a 7 to nothing lead.

Bryan would answer on a 5 yard touchdown run by Jeremy Carson tying the game at 7.

But following another Bryan fumble, Greywolves quarterback Keith Smith hits Juan Gums on a 34 yard scoring strike to increase Shoemaker's lead to 14-7.

Enrique Ferguson will recover Mancusco's fumble with 2:22 left in the first half leading to Keith Smith's 8 yard run as Shoemaker takes a 21-7 lead.

Bryan catches a break on the ensuing kick-off as Artrell Woods returns it inside the Greywolves 20 but the Vikings have to settle for a Ross Navarro field goal and trail at the break 21-10.

Bryan will come out in the 3rd quarter and drive 75 yards to cut Shoemaker's advantage to 21-17 as Carson takes it to the house for his 2nd touchdown of the night.

But that's as close as Bryan would get. Smith adds a 40 yard field goal to give Shoemaker some breathing room as they hold onto beat the Vikings 24-17.

Bryan drops to 4 and 5 on the year 3 and 3 in district play while Shoemaker improves to 5 and 4 and 3 and 3 in league play.

YES heights is in!

Not so fast Primetime.

H.H. still has too take care of business tonight with Belton.
IF H.H. (3-2) loses to Belton and Waco (posible 3-4), and IF Shoe (3-3) wins next week vs. Temple (probable 4-3) that would put Shoe in. Not saying that is what will happen, but Shoe should handle Temple so the presure is all on H.H. Belton has been playing hard and Waco is always a tough game for anyone. A win for H.H. vs. Belton will give H.H. 3rd in district

I think thats right. If I'm wrong (always possible), someone please set me strait. The picture is starting to clear but the mud is still on the pond.

The paper here locally says HH must win both its remaining games and Bryan must lose to Consol. I'll go find the link.

no if we win tonight against belton than we are even if we do lose to waco shoemaker beats temple and bryan beats amc, because we all would have 3 losses but we beat both of those teams this season
