Can't believe this hasn't been posted on here...
OLLU had a devistating fire yesterday that virtually destroyed the campus' main building, which was constructed in 1895 and was a San Antonio landmark....
My prayers go to OLLU, this is a big loss for that university...

That's terrible - hopefully no one was injured - what a landmark.

I saw the story about this last night on TXCN. Does anyone know what started the fire? I never quite caught that part of the story...

This is so sad. Mad, post on here if there is a fund or what the plans are to help the students who probably lost everything they had at school.

Anyone find out how this started?? I know there was a bomb threat called in the day before this fire but not sure if there was any connection.

Frost Bank has set up an account. If you go to www.ollusa.edu (http://www.ollusa.edu) the account number is on their website for the assistance fund. Donations are tax deductible!

News this morning is calling it accidental, but that's just preliminary...

Okay...here's the deal...you can make all the Pope jokes you want...you can think all the bad things (you think you know) about the Fathers...
But these ladies never hurt anybody...save the occasional kid that needed smacked with a ruler (but that mostly just hurt my feeling...:D)...
I went the credit card route:
•OLLU has set up the “Our Lady of the Lake Rebuilding Fund” to accept monetary donations. Those interested can visit any Frost Bank location and donate to account number 01-0494593. Donations are also being accepted at ollusa.edu through checks or credit cards. And, donations can also be made to the Red Cross.
•Checks will also be accepted, make payable to OLLU. Mail to: OLLU Development, 411 SW 24th Street, San Antonio, Texas 78207
•You can make a credit card gift: https://www.ollu.onlinecommunity.com/ng/default.aspx?TabId=12021

Actually, Frost Bank set up the account for them, not even the other way around....
I hope this turns into the silver lining in the dark cloud for this school. They were losing enrollment and in financial difficulties before. I hope all this attention turns them around.
