This is a highlight video of Tray Robinson. Tray will be Trinity's primary back this year after an injury-shortened season last year. They have him listed at 6'1" and 205 but after seeing him recently, I think he is bigger than that now. He's fast for his size, a load to bring down and also an excellent receiver. Should be fun to watch again this year.

Anyway, pretty entertaining runs on here.......

He should do well if he stays healthly. He was pretty injury prone last year as a part-time player. Big question is can he shoulder the load of 300+ carries that Trinity likes to do with their primary backs and take a pounding.

He got hurt in the plano game if I remember correctly.

he originally got hurt in the final district game against BELL, the plano game was his first game back from that injury, then had the season ending injury
against plano on the TD pass he caught,,,,,from what i understand, he will
have some help from a move-in RB, from arlington, i think, they say the kid
is a burner...

looks good but whats his 40? seems like he never separates from the secondary. if he can avoid going down by some soft shoe string tackles he should have a very nice yards per carry average. hes got good vision for cutback lanes

Robinson is ideal for Trinity's system. A premium for such a runningback is patience. Such a runningback must be able to run towards the direction of the play, have the vision to not commit until the see an opening, and the discipline to make one cut towards the hole and to stick with it. He must also have the confidence to pick a hole, since the coordinator doesn't pick it for him.

Another key for a runningback in a zoneblocking scheme is he should keep his legs pumping always. Most RBs like to spin or juke but a zone runner usualy faces tackles in confined spaces where spins and jukes don't work, because in a zone blocking scheme the 2nd level is full of Offensive lineman as well as opposition linebackers and safetys.

You said it so much better than I was about to write - main thing is 4.0 time doesn't mean much with Triinity's type of running game

tray robinson will be a feature back in trinity's offense next year.
some backup will be coming from a fellow senior-to-be jack ______ (braindead on the last name) and junior-to-be damian hart who has similar style to that of robinson's. the running game looks strong in the years to come including the burner shaquille edwards and new transfer tevin ______(last name questionable). overall trinity will be strong in their running game for at least the next couple of years.

also there is a dominant soon-to-be sophomore player in the works with the top trinity players whos name i dont remember. but from what i heard he runs a 4.37 and doubles as a quaterback and wide reciever.

Don't get me wrong buddy, Forty times are nice, but not the end all for a zone runner. In a zone blocking scheme your runningback need only be either Fast or Powerful, seldom is both a requesite to excell like with other schemes.

He will most likely be going to Ronnie Coleman's school of body building...or seminary. He's a bit undersized for the next level, although I would be thrilled to see him play ball again. He is a physical specimen with a great heart.
