I noticed this, along with my dad, earlier this week while watching the Spurs game. You know the new Nike commercials, the ones with Tomlinson talking about being quicker than your quick, etc. There is one version without talking. It just shows athletes (including Tomlinson and Peterson) training outside, running parachute sprints, etc. It even has a "live action" shot of a night football game for a couple seconds.

The stadium they are in is Burger in Austin. You can tell from the fence behind the end zone, as well as the green press box. I rewound the DVR about 10 times trying to catch details to be sure. My dad agreed it was Burger. I texted a friend and he said he had noticed that as well.

Nothing ground breaking, just a neat factoid. I would like to find concrete proof it is Burger, but i'm 95% sure it is. I bet the ad agency that made the commercial is based in Austin. LT and AP are both from Texas, and I believe Kevin Durant is also in the ad. Makes sense.

And played at Texas.

Doesn't matter though. He's not the one in Burger stadium.

If you can't remember what it looks like, go here: http://www.nikeusmedia.com/nike-sparq-training/ and click on the My Better tab. Watch the 60 second clip. I think it first shows up at the 30 second mark with the sprints. Then again at the 19 second mark in the background of the guy running at the camera with the parachute (that's the basketball arena you can see). The HS game, and the lacrosse guys are in it too. The best shot is when the lacrosse guys are tossing the medicine balls across the field.

I could be wrong, of course, but then there's a stadium out there that looks exactly like Burger with the same green fence, press box and basketball arena behind one end zone.

Green metal siding. The lower part is beige brick/cinder block. Notice the 3 arrows I added: Green metal door, white flag pole to the left of door, and the square vent above and to the right of the door. You can even make out the top part of the door framing and the light above the door. I also just noticed you can slightly make out the top of a fence next to the sprinter's left hand. That would match the fence you see in the second picture.

In the Nike picture, notice the 3 large windows on the lower left of the press box. Next to those windows are two large openings followed by 4 narrower windows. The second level of windows, speakers on top of the pressbox and light pole behind it all match the second photo. Not to mention the metal gutters along the wall next to the track, and the black track itself.

haha, sorry about that Loyal. I went through all the home games last year, and those were the best shots I could get of that angle due to the photog's watching the celebration.

And we had to go beat Westlake after that, so it wasn't quite for the Championship. Just the lead. :D
