With a record of 0-10 two years ago to a good chance of being 10-0 this year.
How do they look for the playoffs? And why the turn around? Do they have what it takes?

1) They look pretty good!!

2) They got bi***-slapped by history!! Somebody told them, "Did you know you're Plano?!".."Plano doesn't lose like that!!"

3) Oh ya....they have what it takes, right now....the playoffs, however, will become a whole other test!! We'll know if this is the Plano of old, or if they just got lucky this season! (< I highly doubt they got LUCKY, though! ;) )

Goodluck Wildcats!!!!!!

They are set up pretty well for the playoffs, any team they get from district 7-5A will be a favorable draw for the wildcats. In the second round they would most likely get DR, and I think the Wildcats will beat the Raiders pretty easily, DR does not have the offense to keep up with Plano, the QB posistion at Ryan is not very solid, throw that in with the play of the O-Line and I think the Plano defense will give Ryan fits. Defensively Ryan always has talent and speed, however they do not have as much this year as in years past, they got torched against HP and SLC and have given up some points to teams you would not expect. I think Plano has the type of offense that will give the Raiders fits all day, that is if Ryan can get past MacArthur this year. Plano would not be tested until the 4th round where they would either play SLC or Abilene, in D2 it will start to get brutal for Plano in that area of the playoffs, if they somehow get past those two teams, most likely Lufkin would be waiting for them. I think Plano has what it takes to make a deep run and they should be considered one of the favorites to win a state title. Its been way to long since that program has won a state title, 11 years is the longest drought between state titles for Plano and this year could be a end to that drought.

To me the change all comes from experience, at the beginning of the year, I did not think Plano would be this good, but these guys have been around for 3 years and know the sick feeling of losing. They have some speed, and seem to be able to mix the pass with the run, the experience these guys have is the true reason to the turn around. Good Luck to the Cats and im looking forward to watching some late november football with the Wildcats involved.

I've just heard about the turnaround....I for one would like to see the Wildcats practicing on Thanksgiving day...Hopefully they'll make a deep run into the playoffs...

Good group of kids. T

They do have some injuries on the defensive side of the ball with 2 starting linebackers Bertrand and Ryan out. Be nice to have them back for East. As long as their healthy for the playoffs thats all that matters. Secondary is strong this will help them when the meet those pass happy teams in the playoffs.

Bend but don't break no big plays and create turnovers. That's Plano's defense

Offense has stayed healthy all year. Entire offense has jelled and been together from game 1 with no injuries. As long as QB Mark S stays healthy and is on his game Plano will move the ball score points and eat clock. He is one tough kid and a strong leader from what I have seen and heard. Best passing QB at Plano since Mitch Maher in 91 or Needham (st chp QB) in 87.

Seems like the key to Plano's offense has always been a good, tough kid at QB who could run the option and a good offensive line. This year, it seems like not only do they have that, but have some real athletes at the skill positions such as running back. They have a real home run threat at running back this year.
