Sooner fans gotta be happy about this..

Oklahoma lands a player in Chaisson who had to fight through double teams all season long, and still he dominated the opposition ending up with the new state record for sacks with 24. He also racked up over 90 tackles, eight pass deflections, seven forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Yeah, he's not really LSU material...I dunno how "intense" the LSU recruiting efforts were...Chaisson probably received one of our courtesy offers...

Yeah, here is the usual downplay of recruits after they commit somewhere else.

Chaisson is a very good pick-up. I'll put it to you like this...
Justin Chaisson > Mike Brockers
I live in Houston. I know the District Mike plays in. Just as you factor that Chaisson plays in the "desert"... you have to take in account that Brockers plays in 20-5A - a district that is usually a non-factor when talking about State Title contenders. Yes, Vince Young came from that district... but his team was kind of like the Dallas Carter 1988 team (except Madison didn't win state). They had a superb season, that year... and have done diddly-squat, since. But, I'll admit, there is very good athleticism that comes from HISD. Not saying Brockers isn't good... he clearly has excellent potential! But so does Chaisson. I like his production. As a DE, having 100+ tckls and 23 sacks, in one season, is pretty freakin' good. That means you get to the ball! Looking forward to Justin coming to Norman.

Not a comment on the player, but man the guys that write these profiles make me laugh.
Good stuff.

OU has an average of about 40-50 Texans on their roster, every year. LSU averages, what... 10-20?? I think OU will stick to Texas players.. too!

The last couple committs seem to be making everyone not a Sooner fan irritated...

Not me. Texas-ou seem to have few recruiting battles this year, Jm being the last one I can think of.
Unfortunately ou will get some good kids. Kind of resigned to that fact. Fortuantely, none so far have been serious targets/needs for Texas that I can think of.

I can't agree more, it's weird how there is only one major prospect we are both after.
