The ACLU actively fights to ensure "Christian" schools are not funded by taxpayer dollars. Recently in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, complaints have come down that "taxpayers" are footing the bill for a charter school that promotes education in the name of Islam.
Article in the Minneapolis Star Tribune:http://www.startribune.com/local/17406054.html?page=2&c=y

"Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy (TIZA- opened in the fall of 2003) seeks to provide students with a learning environment that recognizes and appreciates the traditions, histories, civilizations and accomplishments of Africa, Asia and the Middle East."

The Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy opened with 215 students and had 765 applicants by it's first years end. Currently, the school has a list of 1,500 new students who are waiting to enroll.

Would the ACLU have let a "Christian" school open, much less thrive for the better part of four years, on taxpayer dollars?

Is there a double standard forming within the ACLU? What are your opinions on about the ACLU's lack of reaction until complaints were filed? Why did the ACLU wait so long to investigate the matter?

Thoughts-Opinions....

They are not "a front", they are "afraid" of Islam. Easy to attack Christians, they don't suicide bomb your house.
