ive been watching katy tiger football for 5 years now and 03 is the best. besting previously unbeaten s. lake carrol with jr and now mizzou come back QB chase daniel. a true upset game with carrol going on the next year to win a state championship for the 2nd time in 3 years. to come back after the lufkin loss and going undefeated after that marquee loss. the houston chronicle said it was going to be hard for katy to beat the dragons with their west coast offense and the last time katy's secondary was tested vs a spread formation was a lufkin loss.
mouton's catch, will thompsons interception of the potential game winning dragon drive as a sophomore. he would later go on to be one of the state's most underrated defenders en route to a senior season playing both ways with impressive numbers. and of course jr james aston who is now at ohio state. the game mvp and 3 time state 5A wrestling champion.

Aston, wow.. Thats all I can say. No juke moves that lose yards, no dances in the end zone, just that old school, run over you in a days work back. I love it.

Except Will Thompson who has played this season as DB, Kick and punt returner, WR, RB and I think he took a snap as QB in a game.

The 03' Tigers were an awesome team!!!!

Three of us crazed Katy fans zipped to the Alamodome to see you guys vs O'Conner. Then we zipped on back to the Astrodome to catch Katy's game.
We kinda thought you guys might win so we wanted to see the possible next Katy opponent. O'Conner in '03 was the slowest football squad I've ever seen. They came out and scored on a long drive first and then stopped running the plays that were successful. I couldn't understand the coaching strategy. Their QB looked pretty good. Anyway, your defensive lineMAN was a player.

Ya, he is still a good one at Arizona for Mike Stoops! He started 1/2 the season last year as a true freshman. Did you see that 4th and 7 play when he bull rushed that 270lb guard and was fixing to sack that QB when the guard tackled him right in front of the ref? I've never seen anyone run another guy over like that ever! They did not call the holding and they converted and ended up scoring a TD on that drive! We played Katy tough in the 1st half, but that decision our coach made before the half to try a field goal instead of the TD at the 1/2 yard line deflated our guys and it showed after the half! Katy came out fired up and poured it on us. We didn't help ourselves with the turnovers any for sure, but Katy played great! I don't think I've ever seen a team with that many horses, I think I counted like fifty something guys on your roster that were over 200 and like 20 that were over 240! Where is that big O-lineman playing that ended up tackling our DB on that long INT return by the goal line. That hoss was a stud!! Oh, and so was that running back. He didn't care much about running around people, just straight over them!

You have to go by positions.

RB- Billy J Jamel Branch and Aston are all real close.

Db- Mouton-Mcdaniel-and thomson r all close

LB- hands down rusty bucy and best leader in katy history

WR- eric konechek- keith mouton

QB- Jared Kaspar- depending on how the season plays out Dalton

OL- eric heitman plays for 49's

DL- Adrian Gurrero

FB- Brian Thompson

Best defensive team- 98 but 97 was damn good team too

Best offensive Team- 05

Best Team- 00, cant count 05 yet, and 98 had a hell of a team too bad we didnt get to see them vs midland lee

Most talented team- 97

Yes, he is the present QB who has already passed Kaspar's total season stats and present players fit into the last 10 years....maybe? I also like Gore.
