If or when Grapevine losses to SLC, All they have to do is win their last game and SLC goes division 1?? I hope this is correct!! I will feel cheated not to see SLC lineup against Trinity.

sounds a lot simpler than reality. gvines defense will have theirn hands full with ponder. i doubt they can beat chhs.

In case you are interested, all of the playoff scenarios are explained in the the thread "Current Status of Grapevine Playoff Possibilities."

In the Reader's Digest version, SLC goes to D1 if, in the last week of the district schedule, Grapevine beats Colleyville Heritage AND DR beats Keller Fossil Ridge, or, loses by 6 points or less. If DR loses to KFR by 8 or more points, GV is out (even if it beats CH) and SLC goes to D2 along with DR.*

*This analysis assumes the expected happens this week - DR over Haltom, CH over Keller, KFR over Richland, and SLC over Grapevine.

So does this mean its likely or unlikely that SLC will go Div. 1?

Both games - DR v. KFR and GV v. CH - will be close.

From this perspective, DR is the favorite over KFR because DR's defense has been playing very well recently.

GV is the slight favorite over CH because GV beat KFR and KFR beat CH, and, because GV's offense is playing very well at the moment. Expect the GV defense to make a few more stops than CH's defense (also, not sure of the condition of CH qb Ponder - he was knocked out of the DR game last week with an unknown injury).
