realign some districts yourself how would it go? Given the schools that are currently in 5A and those that could potentially go 5A. Of all of the schools I realigned I did so with geographical closness in mind. The east texas schools would definitely benefit.

Why mess with 11 and 12? Move three Garland schools out and move three M esquite schools into the Garland disrict? :confused: :mad: What will happen to Wylie. Marshall will not move up.

you dont "try" to move. the numbers will say where you go (5a-4a, etc.) Wylie could go into the Plano district. Schools in large cities can choose to move up. (Dallas Carter could be 4a)

Any school can petition up. Like when zapata in the valley (3A numbers) petitioned up to 5A so they would not have to travel as far. Now they are back down in 3A, but play a 5A non district schedule to limit travel.

All of these schools are pretty reasonably close and it would almost be kind of old school with the exception of Cedar Hill and Molina.

Homer Johnson is the happiest man in Texas since he now has his own 7 team district. The 8th school is being planned and that will probably be it for a while. We will have an 8 team, all Garland ISD district and they won't break it up. You might see Wylie move in to fill the 8th spot till we get #8, but it would be only a temporary fix. Homer is so happy to controll all the gate receipts and concessions and playoff gate for a whole district, and he's too powerful for the UIL to go against. He has too many friends in high places, after almost 60 years as the Garland ISD sports director.

Although I would love to see Allen/Coppell that is a long bus ride. Allen is right next to Plano and its not likely that Allen and the Plano teams will break up. Also that district is terrible from top to bottom IMO. We'd be a laughing stock, because I have faced the facts and Allen just doesn't win big games and they are probably the best in that district(maybe Coppell is, but I doubt it)

j/k honestly i think if all the schools in that district or 9-5A had good coaching, they'd do well... the talent is there.
