Any word on Newton? I either heard or read somewhere that he may be out for the rest of the season with a concussion.

maybe you were drunk when you read it? Kudos though, you're half right. In another thread I posted that I spoke to Tre before the game friday, and he told me he got a concussion against Denton Ryan and that he was only sitting out one game. He'll be back in action for Grapevine. No reason to panic.

oh? i heard just resting him to playoffs, i think we should use him as minimal as possible, because of the concussion, plus give moorefield some playing time, just in case for playoffs

From talking to Moorefield, he said that he (Matt) would be playing the rest of the regular season.

im fine with that, maybe a little playing time for newton against richland, but other than that why risk it? i can try to find out news 2morrow, mcelroy used to play the sax, and one of my friends is good friends with him because of it

it would make sense not to play tre as much (gotta give him some pt) but im just going off what he said. Maybe dodge will start moorefield, but rotate tre in a couple series here and there just to get him his reps

guys,
As a gereral rule, it is not cool to talk about individuals and their "injuries" or lack there of. Kind of personal and it's nobody's business beyond the team's. Also, don't mention SLC's secret weapon that they are saving for the playoffs either. Keeps them guessing.

Tre is a sophomore that has not played in many games. He needs to get a lot of reps before the playoffs start. It would make a lot of sense for him to not come out for the next two games and then throughout the playoffs.

It's probably alright...I talked with Tre's mom before a game a couple of weeks ago and she said he had a sore groin & probably would'nt play..he went for 153 yards in just a little over a half..so lets keep em guessin!
