Does Boyd have a stadium? Or is this game at that tiny stadium off 75 behind McKinney HS that has almost no parking?

If its an away game, I assume you will have to travel to Temple. I don't see why you should have to meet them half-way.

It's at that tiny stadium off 75 behind McKinney High!

That's fine. There is a Texas Roadhouse across the highway. Will be fun.

Does Allen?

It's about the same difference, only 15 miles furrther north.

I thought that MISD was constructing a new stadium behind Boyd HS, but I guess I was misinformed.

For information on Boyd's stadium, this is a good place to go:

I've never seen a game there before, so if anyone has, what is the visitors side like?

With the 7,000 total it looks like 4,000 Home Side and 3,000 Visitor.

Who will they lose to.....?

It all dependes on if the coaches can get a defense together. We lost 9 starters on defense. It might be a little scary in the begining of the season but by the time district rolls around I think we will be ok.

Can you still count on violent thunderstorms the night of PESH vs. Plano? It was always a given back in the Scott Phillips days.

Desoto, Allen, East Defense should put up a great fight, but the East offense is in question just like Plano's Defense. I think Boyd with their Stud QB is going to give the Plano D some fits. Never count out Wylie either. The Rangers, well let's just say they're no Richardson.

I think Planofan2007 got it right. It should be on the backs of the coaching staff and the defense to determine if they can go undefeated.

Plano Offense was held in most of the games last year to a reasonable score. With the "Three Amigos" being one year older and more experienced it is going to be harder for the opposing defenses to hold them. I see some big blowout wins for Plano this coming season. :D

Cheers,

Wait till the Plano defense see's the QB from Boyd! One of the most exciting kids I have seen in a while, and I think he will be a Jr this year. One tough, fast, dangerous kid! Little dude that can scoot. Serious pain in the rear for any defense.

On the defensive side of the ball we got some players. Just haven't proven it at a varsity level which is a big deal. I think the J.V. only lost one game last year so, they do have the players they just have to prove it.

I totally agree with bigdaddydog about our offense and if we can find a few players to replace our graduating O-lineman. Hopefully we get a few blowouts early to take the pressure off the defense and let them build their cofidence.

Plano has a great schedule. You got 1st 2 games at home against 2 quality opponents. Then you go on the road to face Hebron and an awesome road game to Temple. Great stadium to play a game at. Their are only a few Plano fans on this board that remeber the 3 great playoff games Plano & Temple played in 78, 79, & in 83 when both teams were at their best. Kimbrough vs McQueen. were classic match ups and all games within 3 or 4 points each time.

Plano beat #1 ranked Temple in 78 15-14 at Texas Stadium with a 2 point conversion late 4th quarter.

Temple beat Plano in Waco the following year 19-16 and went on to win their first title under McQueen.

Finally in 83 Plano beat Temple in a down poor in Waco, can't remember the score but it was like 21-17. Key play was Plano free Saftety Tim Landrum running down Temple's running back at an angle caching him at the 5 yard line after a 50 yard run and puching the ball out of his hands and having it bounce out of the end zone for a Plano touchback and stopping a sure TD.

BAck to the schedlue. Plano has 5 straight district games at Clark with Allen coming back for a revenge whipping.

For all you folks thinking Plano's defense will have issues. Plano's Defensive system takes care of that. Plano's defense will be good. Always has and always will.

I have no doubt about that PWF. I'm a little concerned about the O line though. Last year's had some real horses on it.

No doubt Mcjunkin & Perrymam were awesome talents. I was watching some film on burkhead online and watched McJunkin and that dude didn't stop until 5 seconds after the whistle blew. I was amazed how he kept on his blocks and never got seperated no matter how far down field he was.

However, Kim and the other 2 lineman (apoligize forgot their names) did an outstanding job and got the benefit of 15 games last year. Plano has a long tradition of strong lineman. The year we won state we had only 1 starting lineman back from the previous year and were pretty solid group.

As I said about the defense the Oline works the same way. Its the system.

Very cool. Plano lost thier starting QB Ronnie Mullins in that game late in the first half and that was a big blow to the Plano offense. Temple was the better team that night. I believe they had Kenneth Davis RB who played at TCU and the Buffalo Bills backing up Thurman Thomas.
