I would say the War Eagles from AHS.

why don't you wait until the end or list every team that could possibly be in it. This poll means nothing

I'm wanting to gauge what the weekly opinions are based on the playoff projections. If some teams are added or dropped in the last two weeks, we can always change the poll. Have fun with it and add your opinion. :D :D

Gotta go with Wildcats of Plano Senior High!

Abilene and Irving Mac would be close second and third choices!

Plano will more than likely be the Region 1 champions. They were destined to be this good. I don't think Abilene is as good as they were last year and Ryan is not as good as last year either. The only other one that might be a threat is I Mac. They refuse to lose no matter who they play. We'll see how they'll do against Trinity.

Abilene on this one......didn't they lose to southlake in the playoffs 35-30???

abilene, plano, irv. mac.-----saw ryan play..even though it was against the all-powerful carroll dragons, they didn't even put up a fight...don't look like they have much at all...i could be wrong, but that's how i see it....out of the 3 teams i listed, my pick is Plano....those guys are on fire!!!

since i'm going to pick gvine to start bb early, due to their defensive ineptitude, i have to go the slc in this one. i've got plans to see my lp buds in early to mid december.

I think Ddaddy has a strong hunch Carroll will be D-2....

Abilene..Because I just think they can.. They seem to be having a pretty darn good year thus far.

I picked Abilene, but I'm somewhat biased. I think Plano has as good a shot as Abilene. But we seem to automatically discount a pretty good Midland team. There are three teams in west texas to be aware of and that's Abilene, Midland and Amarillo. The teams in the metroplex are Plano, Irving Mac and DR. This D2 in this region is way weaker than last year.

North Crowley? Please!! Should not even be in the same poll as Abilene or Plano.

Polls are fun. After Friday's games things should really clear up. Looking forward to see how ole dragon's tooth finishes up. D2 becomes alot more fun if puff in stuff shows up. :D

Guys think how sweet this would be. The majority of the starting line up for Plano started during their 0-10 season two years ago, for the same group of guys to win state this year would be incredable!!! These guys deserve it. Plano goes all the way.

Ryan will not get past the second round this year, if they open up with I-Mac, it should be another great football game, but Plano will be waiting for them in week 2 and I think Plano will to much for Ryan.
If I had to pick a team from this list, I would say Abilene, but Plano is up there to.

Abilene has what it takes make it to state, but there are some big bumps in the road such as Lufkin,Plano,ect...

they have really caught fire since that Rockhurst game. I have to admit though those close calls with mediocre Belton and Brownwood teams still have me thinking that Abilene is not an elite team this year

Plano without a doubt! Abilene has struggled too much and is a shell of who they were last year.

Mark my words.....GV will blow it and SLC goes Div. 2. If Trinity & SLC don't play it will be a shame!!

With what SGP did to Euless this evening -- now we have to consider SGP a contender in Region 1 -- any thoughts -- :D

None of the teams have changed for D-II Region 1. I wanted to throw this back out to the posters that may have missed it last week. -- :D :D

After Friday's games things should really clear up.

I would hope so. I'm hoping SLC goes DII myself. The playoffs would not be the same without the mid-December classic of SLC/LP. Hopefully, this will be the year we break the Green Dragon curse! I've got some garlic and wooden stakes just in case. :D
