Ya I been worn out so I fell asleep when they went up by 15. Then I woke up with 10 secs left. I was like what the heck?

its hard for texas to keep up a 17 point lead the whole game. i've noticed that over the years.

I was glad to see the Horns win that game....I hate Miami with a passion ever since that football game with Texas several years ago....UT fans know what game I am talking about. Miami is the most classless bunch of people I have ever seen.

Glad to see the W - but Stanford, or should I say, the 7 foot Lopez Twins - pose HUGE match-up problems for UT. Barnes will earn his money this next week to get a good game plan together.

#1Dawg, don't let what happened 18 years ago in a completely different sport dictate what you feel about that basketball team.

Just saying... I have friends on that team who are great guys and wouldn't do anything classless and aren't thugs.
It's unfortunate what current Miami (all sports) players go through because of what some unruly idiots did back in the day under poor coaches.

The South Regional is NOT at the Toyota Center. It is at Reliant Stadium. Texas plays Stanford next Friday; time to be announced. The Final Four will be at Reliant in 2011.

It was 17. You're talking about that 46-3 Cotton Bowl drubbing, right? Maybe had Texas players kept their mouths shut, Miami wouldn't have felt the need to poor it on. Ever think of that?

Relient St. I guess it's like Houston's equivalent to our Alamodome!
We have a perfectly good basketball arena but we use the big one that will be less packed!

I'll admit that game was very embarrassing to watch even as a Texan.

Maybe less packed, but more people! The Final Four will probably never be played in an actual basketball arena.

Yeah, my bad. Braindead. :cry
And that 90 Canes team didn't do any talking before that game. It was that Texas tackle... For the life of me I can't remember his name... Now, the late 80s Canes? Most definitely. I just don't think it's fair to compare a basketball team 17 years later to that team, or even the football teams of 5 years ago to those of today. Shannon is making excellent progress with the team as far as character goes. I've always disliked Miami as well, but I like what Shannon is doing there.

I respect Shannon, he is the best thing that could happen to that university but I am afraid my hate for them is pretty strong and I am an equal opportunity hater....I hate all their sports programs;)

Comparing Reliant Stadium to the alamadome is like comparing the Playboy Mansion to a strip club.

Reliant is a lot better than the alamodome.

The Alamadome holds 65,000. What basketball arena in the US holds 65,000+?
It's a football stadium that the Spurs used but they would have some kind of curtain covering half of it up with the court on the other side. The Spurs have no problems when it comes to fan support ;)

Yeah what does a 3 point basketball victory have to do with a 46-3 football game ?

What's sad about playing the Final Four in these large arenas is that the general public still has such a slim shot at getting affordable tickets. It's all about the money the NCAA can make!
