I was hoping for the continued pipeline from P'Ville to Lubbock.

He is just damned impressive. 'twill be interesting to see how he progresses on the 40 acres.

He looks just like another Brian Orakpo to me and they are close to identical coming out of high school (even though Okafor has another year of high school left). Hopefully Okafor can avoid some of the bumps and bruises that have hindered Orakpo at times. I think we'll end up seeing Okafor get up to the 240-250 range within a couple of years.

Arguably the best DE prospect in Texas this year.

Remember Fletcher Cox?....I think we might pick him up soon though....Been kinda following this kid and since I last mentioned him here he's picked up offers from Alabama , Auburn and Miss St....AND, LSU...Couple weeks ago the only offer he had was from Ole Miss...

This kid might be a sleeper...Fletcher not even in the top 250-yet....

In addition to LSU, Cox holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and several other schools. Where do the Tigers fit into things?

The Texas Rivals guys think he's going there, but they think everybody wants to go to Texas.

I've heard rumors that he likes Texas, but there is a lot pushing him to stay in Lubbock. I think it's a 2 horse race and he's definitely getting an earful from all sides about Tech.

I like I've been saying for a couple of years that I wanted him in Austin, but it was quite apparent some time ago that the Texas coaches favored Tariq Allen far more. I think both are almost identical, though I think Allen might be a bit faster. I still think Chris winds up in the Big Televen, but who knows.

That's true.

Ultimately I want guys who want to be in Lubbock, but I'm not too keen on Lubbock guys leaving town when they have talent.

We have had more OL drafted the last four years than UT. Furthermore, the players getting drafted were a walk-on, a 2 star and two 3 stars.

Supposedly Walters will announce his committment to Texas soon. At least that is the word on Tech boards where it is supposedly getting around that Walters told the Tech coaching staff he was going to be a Horn. If it happens, it's no surprise.
