Clemson's press. Lawson looks lost. Anyone else watching this?

Lawson is still coming back from injury, and you can see he is dragging with this being his 3rd game in as many days.

I'd like to see Quentin Thomas play most of the second half. He is sharper than Lawson right now.

I'm not surprised by Clemson. They are a very good team, and can do some real damage in the tournament. They are one of those teams who could crash the Final Four that's not a 1 or 2 seed.

If Carolina is stronger with the ball in the second half, they will win the game. Clemson's pressure gives Carolina easy scoring opportunities, so if the Heels take care of the ball then they will be fine.

I agree. What do you think of Clemson's scheme to defend Hansborough?

I agree. What do you think of Clemson's scheme to defend Hansborough?

I think it is more their overall pressure than anything they are doing on Hansbrough specifically. The way Clemson swarms makes it difficult to pass inside in the half court offense, and everything gets spread out on the break so Hans may or may not be there.

However, Hansborg is starting to get some space inside right now and that's a good sign.

Also, Carolina hasn't done a good job passing or being strong with the ball. That hasn't made it easy to get Hansbrough involved. That'll need to improve here late in the game if the Heels are going to win.

This is easily the worst I've seen Lawson. He's a real liability out there right now. The injuries (ankle and hip pointer) have really hampered his ability.

There is freaking Ty Lawson. The one man press break. Where was this in the first 30 minutes?

I have a new level of respect for coaches. My goodness. There have been some total bonehead plays by both teams late in this one.

This is like dumb and dumber. Heels foul them twice in 2 secs with an 8 pt lead. Clemson misses 4 FT's in a row. This is NCAA D1A, right?

I claim a moral victory for the Hokies , since we couldn't manage an actual win over either of these wins this season in basketball. :cry But could have/should have won both games. ;)
