Judson getting no love?

What's with the posters pre-season top 10 not including Judson? I mean, Judson has only played in 3 title games in the last 6 yrs, winning one and giving an outstanding Trinity team all they could handle before falling short this past year. They return a great deal of their defense and some key positional players on offense. They should be pretty good. Take into account the weaker district they will be playing in and they are almost a lock to make the playoffs, and we all know that come playoff time, Judson knows what to do. They have struggled during the season as of late, but once the PO's start, they kick it into another gear. Just a little food for thought.

We haven't recieived any love in the past couple of years because everyone says bout Wagner opening has taken our talent pool, so on. So don't except to see us on any Top 10 list's other that the most hated, anytime soon

Everyone knows CJRockets will be there but they have a cupcake schedule and will win their district easy, the playoffs this year..2008...will speak volumes as how good Judson will look. I would expect them to be in the semi's easily, and could easily be right back in the title game. No love or just no "give-a-rip" is tough to say. The Pflugs will have a great team as well, and imo a much better defense. D1 vs D2 more than likely again, but would love to see the Silent P's jock up with ET. CJRockets will get the re-match game with Shore. Keep your heads up, it's pretty much a love-hate relationship with CJRockets on this board. Very little R4 following on the board. Lots of DFW, yankee texan fans on the board. Most likely, your true reason for not being there. ;)

Don't get caught up in the rankings. IMO, if your focusing on the rankings and what others think then your focusing on the wrong thing. ;)

It still doesn't change the fact that Trinity was murdering everyone they played and was favored to do the same to Judson and the Rockets dang near pulled off the upset. Judson was not as bad as their record, and they will be better this coming year. Whether you like it or not, Judson has earned the respect their program gets by making numerous deep PO runs. Even with their mediocre regular season records as of late, and missing the playoffs twice in the last 6 yrs, it's what they have done those other 4 yrs that says it all. That is not only make the PO's, but they have made it to 3 state finals & a semi-finals appearance. Other than SLC, Katy, & Trinity, what program can throw out that resume for the same time frame. Judson has slipped just a bit since Wagner opened, but they still have enough to make some noise when it counts. I still think Judson should be considered one of the elite programs in the state.

Judson never gets the respect. I'm actually thinking of writing a book about this past year's football season. And when the team's 7 year period ends we need to nominate them for the HOF thing at Judson. They deserve it.

Judson fought harder and showed more heart/spirit this past season than any other season!

I could care less where we are ranked it has always been " It is not where you start, but where you finish". Stop worring about rankings in March, when it is early November that is the time to care. Rest assured that Judson will make the playoffs and I bet by week 8 they will have already wrapped up the title.

Well we're getting love in Track. For the 4th week in a row Judson Boys and Girls won their track meets. Both the boys and girls were recognized as the teams of the day at the UTSA relays today. Heck several of our relays had better time than the college teams. Them Judson boys and girls are fast!!!:D

Judson has always been real good in track, but I see Wagner closing the gap fast. Last week I noticed that the Wagner boys won several on the relay events. If they keep this district for a while it will be Judson and Wagner every year in football and track, but I feel that the others will inprove as the 265 has. I believe the Judson boys just took back the best time in the city in the 4 X 400 today. They ran a 3.21.01 and it was electronic. Wagner and Judson will be something to see at the district meet!!

I really could care less what Judson is ranked by anybody. If I think they're good, then I'm happy. If I don't like how they're playing, I'm not happy.

Many times they play better as underdogs.

Go Rockets!!In the 2000's, those are the ONLY teams to have a better resume than Judson. I'll live with #4 in 5A. They were #1 in the 90's and pretty high in the 80's. You can't argue with being a Top 5 program in your classification for each of the last 3 decades (80's, 90's, and 00's).
