I had some aprehensions about the strength of 12-5A this year, but the teams have really showed up. I'm pleasantly surprised. The hardest? Probably not.

I think 11-5A from a couple of years ago was flat out ridiculous. It was a bloodbath.

If I had a dollar for every time this subject was posted I could retire... but anywayz, I will go with 26-5A. But my opinion is biased too, since im a Region IV junkie.

Far from it...

My top districts are:
6-5A
5-5A
26-5A

13-5a might be not as tough, but year in year out its hard to predict whos gonna make the playoffs. The final spot or 2 is always decided after the last game

i know that I am completely baised, but i believe although 25A isnt the toughest at all, the whole 2 division thing adds a new and interesting twist. P.A. Memorial and Westfield along with the unconsistent Humble. It def. deserves itself to be thrown out there.

But like I said, i am completley biased since I am Humble fan.

Oh and you have to admit that there really aren't that many 25A fans on this site. As far as I know I am the only one so really I kinda am the only one that knows about me team. It's kinda funny being the lone gunner for Humble.

Yeah, 6 is a good district this year. 3 is down, but still a good one. 12 has some decent teams, too.

19-5A sucks this season. I've never seen Katy be able to play it's 2nd and 3rd string so much. The best games are from the match-ups at the bottom of the heap that are fighting for the 3rd playoff spot.

6-5, every team has a chance to make the playoffs minus Nimiti and that other school (Grand Prarie).

at the beginning of the season I would have said 12-5a was on of the toughest. well we all know it hasn't turned out to be so tough afterall. Well I guess JT and Lee kind of switched places but the mesquite schools aren't as good asa they were last year and Lview seems to be the only team still playing at the same level.

so i go with 26-5a

I think we're talking about this year. Some people love to ride the glory of the past. I wish I could say 23-5a, but we all know how the stepchildren from pasadena are doing these days. Hopefully, we'll get our old district back next year.

5-5A...You know right off the bat, your playing for second place, and battling Denton Ryan, who has never lost to a 5-A team other than Carroll, for that!...... :D

I have to say 26-5A also.........those teams always kick the RGV teams out of the playoffs but we do give a fight. Mcallen Rowe made it to the Regional Semi-finals but lost to SA Madison 28-25.....we give a fight but that damn field goal.

has to be 10-5a

You're raving mad.

Berkner (where I assume you go) is the only school that could be considered "good."

Creekview and LH are average.

Pearce is slightly below average.

My own school, Jesuit, is really bad this year.

RHS, Smith, and Turner are all horrible.

We all know how hard 5-5A is, I mean teams like Richland and Keller and Haltom really strike fear into our hearts. The 7th place team out of 6-5A beat the 2nd place team out of 5-5A if that means anything. 6-5a will probably go 2-1 this weekend in the bidistrict against 5-5A and Trinity/Fridge and SGP/Denton Ryan will be blowout.s

11-5A should be mentioned. There are no big time powerhouse teams besides Garland, but South and Rowlett are starting to get mentioned more and more each year. But besides the fact that the district isn't just loaded with 9 D1 guys on every team, the district is close. Each school has a chance to go out and beat another team every week. There are no sure wins in that district for sure.

26-5A. This year especially. This year was a vicious warzone of upsets, comebacks and near misses. It was ugly, really.

I agree that 6-5a was stronger than 5-5a from top to bottom this year, but your argument is weak. You can pick the bottom 2 or 3 teams from any district and say that. Haltom was actually a good team at 5-5; similarly Irving may have been one of the better 4-6 teams anywhere. Irving did not beat the #2 team -- it was the #3 team Fossil Ridge. (I have my suspicion that Ryan did not play their normal game since their #2 seed was already locked in but FR did do what they had too.) ET should beat FR easily (IMHO), but the SGP/Ryan game will be close -- both have good athletes and run similar programs. Until last week, the only 5A team Ryan has ever lost to was SLC, so do not take them lightly. Note: the non playoff 5-5a teams won 2 more games than their counterparts from 6-5a (& that includes Irving's wins over FR and winless Richland. Had any 5-5a team had the opportunity to play Gp, the differential would have been greater.)

SGP/Denton Ryan a blowout....dont think so

if you look at last weeks game alone.....Denton Ryan vs Ridge....it was a game that included a team that was already in the playoffs vs. a team that had to win to play another week....im my mind, the team that wanted it more...won

the only ppl that will say 5-5 is an easy district....are the ppl that have probably never seen a 5-5 game (not including DRyan vs SLC).....and ppl that only look at the final scores on saturday morning and decide which district look "hard" or "easy"...

10-5 is an easy district.....only because you never really know what teams will make it year in and year out.... 1 year a team is good....next year they are in last place..... Creekview is above average this year....and they might not come back to the playoffs for another few years after this...... its not like some district that you can probably guess the records of each team by just looking at the schedual
