Move over Bill - you're not the richest man in the world anymore. Warren Buffet surged past you this past year.

Buffet's net worth (an educated guess by Forbes) was up $10 BILLION, while Gates' only grew by $2B thanks to MS's failed coupe of Yahoo.
Major money pwnage.

Buffet owns Dairy Queen (through his holding company). jtk has eaten a lot of Dairy Queen in the past year. jtk thinks Mr. Buffet owes Mr. jtk a cut of the loot. Hell, I would take 1/10 of 1% of what he made this year alone and never have to work again.

Buffet also drinks 5 or 6 Cherry DP's a day - full strength - no diet stuff. Bill probably sips green tea and eats tofu. More pwnage.

jtk drinks a couple cherry cokes a week from there. Dairy Queen cherry soda > all others.
That said, Bill lives on the shores of Lake Washington in Seattle. Buffet lives in Omaha, Nebraska. Seattle > Omaha.

Buffet lives in the same house he's had since the 60's...probably worth all of $100,000 bucks now...

I think Gates has a garage full of Ferrarri's.
Buffet -? I'm guessing a Chevy - insured by GEICO of course.
Side note - I read an interesting story like 15 years ago about Gates' personal financial manager in the WSJ - at the time his net worth was probably $10B. The money man, a lifelong friend of Bill's, said he had trouble investing $5B (I think the rest was tied up) because "that's a lot of money".
At 4% annual interest - $5B brings in $548,000 --- A DAY!

mr b will gladly share the wealth. in fact, he is happy to be your mutual fund manager, for free. i have hired him at $0 per year to invest for me. it has been great, and i highly recommend to anyone who is tired of paying some mutual fund manager or financial planner or stock broker more or less much of your profits, to look into berkshire-hathaway stocks. when the financial genius of our age is willing to share it with me, i'm jumping on the band wagon.

You sly fox - you probably own a few shares at, what?? $20,000 a share (I didn't look, but I know the stock never splits).
I should have bought it back in '85 at about $200/share.

Buffet owns Netjets, and also owns Fiji water which is stocked on Netjets, and pretty much any product on Netjets is owned by Buffet.
