What? Who's not to love in that group? It's not like I put Carter or Hogeboom in there - but I did consider Danny White.

I guess Eddie LeBaron, Craig Morton, Glenn Carano, Jason Garrett, and Bernie Kosar didn't make the cut either?
Ryan Leaf?
Wade Wilson?
Clint Longley?

Sammy Baugh
Bobby Layne
Otto Graham

Joe Montana - 4-0 in Super Bowls, 11 TD's - 0 Int's

John Elway - 2 Super Bowl wins. Almost single-handedly took average teams to 3 Super Bowl appearances and 4 AFC title game appearances in the late 80's and early 90's

Tom Brady - Won 3 Super Bowls with guys like Deion Branch, Troy Brown, David Patten, and David Givens at receiver. When they finally got him two elite receivers, he threw for 4,806 yards and 50 TD's.

Peyton Manning - Won a Super Bowl. Has thown for at least 3,739 yards and 26 TD's in all of his 10 seasons.

Bradshaw had one of the best all time defenses, a HOF RB, and 2 great WRs( one of which is in the HOF, but I dispute his worthiness.) He was a good leader, but he didn't ever strike me as the guy that made the Steelers win the game. Yes he has 4 rings, but IMO, he isn't any better than Jim Kelly, whose name never gets mentioned in the context of greatness.

Lots of overs with him, like overblow & over rated. Very good ball player but, according the people that vote, was surrounded by about 37 other hall of famers.

Kelly and Bradshaw both played with great teammates:

A few of Kelly's teammates:
RB-Thurman Thomas - HOF'er/18,000 total yds/109 tds
OT-Howard Ballard - Started 112 games for Bills/4-Time All-Pro/6-Time Pro-Bowl
OG-Jim Ritcher - Played in 200 games for Bills/2-Time All-Pro/2-Time Pro Bowl
OG-Rueben Brown - Started 170 games for Bills/4-Time All-Pro/9-Time Pro-Bowl
C-Kent Hull - Started 170 games for Bills/5-Time All-Pro/4-Time Pro-Bowl
WR-Andre Reed - 14,500 yds/97 tds/4-Time All-Pro/7-Time Pro-Bowl
WR-James Lofton - Played in 70 games w/ Bills/15,000 yds/85 tds/6-Time All-Pro
DT-Freddy Smerlas - Started 152 games w/ Bills/6-Time All-Pro/5-Time Pro Bowl
NG-Jeff Wright - Started 67 games w/ 32 sacks/300 tckls (Not bad for a short NG!)
DE-Bruce Smith - HOF'er/200 sacks/ Outside Reggie White, the best DE ever!
DE-Phil Hansen - Started 148 games for Bills/62 career sacks
DE/OLB-Cornelius Bennett - 72 sacks/6-Time All-Pro
LB-Shane Conlan - Started 114 games/800 tckls/3-Time All-Pro/3-Time Pro Bowl
LB-Daryl Talley - 1200 tckls, 39 sacks/12 Ints/2-Time All-Pro
S-Nate Odoms - 2-Time All-Pro

Jim Kelly didn't play on a team with a bunch of sissies, guys! :D Find me a SB winning QB and I'll find you a team that was either led, mainly by a truly great QB's arm or by a team of All-Pro/HOF'ers. IE.. John Elway and Tom Brady going to the majority of their SB's w/ mainly their arms (Yes I know Elway had "TD", but that was only for 2 of his 4 SB apprcs)... and Bradshaw, Aikman and Kelly being surrounded by excellent All-Pro/HOF talent. Montana is the middle ground. Outside of Rice n' Rathman.. who else, off the top of your head, is considered perennial All-Pro/HOF material for the 49'ers, back then??

And both Stallworth and Swann are in the HOF.. and yes, Swann shouldn't be. He's easily the most overrated WR of All-Time.

Did you know? RB's-Franco Harris/Tony Dorsett own the record for most fumbles by a RB at 90!

Most of the free world, and even those imprisoned, would disagree. Besides the numbers, which are staggering, name another qb who took his team to 5 super bowls when 3 of those teams didn't have any talent other than him. He did more with less than any qb that we discuss for a list like this, period.

I will never vote for Elway for any list of excellence simply because I resent, as a fan of the game, how he manipulated the system, like a whinny little kid, at the draft. He is as classless as they come and I can't stand his lack of charachter. Same for Manning Light, even if I did cheer for him against the Evil Empire last Super Bowl. Graham's Brown's teammates:
WR-Ray Renfro - 2-Time All-Pro
RB-Marion Motley - NFL HOF'er
TE-Mac Speedie - 6-Time All-Pro
WR-Dante Lavelli - NFL HOF'er
C-Frank Gatski - NFL HOF'er
OG-Chuck Noll - NFL HOF'er
OG-Abe Gibron - 4-Time All-Pro
OT-Lou Rymkus - 7-Time All-Pro
K-Lou Graza - NFL HOF'er
DT-Mike McCormack - NFL HOF'er
DT-Don Colo - 6-Time All-Pro
DE-Lenny Ford - NFL HOF'er
S-Warren Lahr - 6-Time All-Pro
S-Tommy James - 2-Time All-Pro
DT-John Kisell - 2-Time All-Pro

Graham comes off as a Bradshaw-like QB, but in a different era and with a better completion percentage. He had a CCP of 55% w/ 174 tds and 135 Ints which was phenomenal for that era. He was raw, rugged and a winner. He went All-Pro in every season he played Pro football (10) and led his teams to 8 Pro football Titles. Then again, he was on a team with 7 future NFL HOF'ers and at least 15 other perrenial All-Pro players.

From Wikipedia:

Between October 4, 1927, and October 31, 1941, Gutzon Borglum and 400 workers sculpted the colossal 60-foot (18 m) carvings of U.S. presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln to represent the first 150 years of American history. These presidents were selected by Borglum because of their role in preserving the Republic and expanding its territory.

I would say the the spirit of Mt Rushmore was to comemerate the most important presidents of the first 150 years of the country. I subject that my listing of QB's is in direct relation to the spirit of the intentions of Mt. Rushmore.

Bro, if there is another who is usually the first to announce his selections to the world, please let him present himself (Okay.. outside of WOS87! :D). I actually made a list, on here 2 yrs ago, of my Top 10. Here's an updated count, of which I posted days ago...

Just take the Top 4 of my list and you have my Mt. Rushmore of QB's. My GOAT QB's have 8 NFL MVP's, 9 SB-wins and 6 SB MVP's amongst them. Combined, they have played with a total of less than, perhaps, 6 or 7 HOF'ers or sure HOF'ers. Meaning, they pretty much led their teams as the best asset on their teams, respectively. And, they dominated in a time (1985-present) that was schematically and athletically far more enhanced than any other era. I want the best.. not the first! :D:p
