View Full Version : Interesting playoff scenario in 12-5A...

According to Smoaky.com, Mesquite Horn has a pretty legit shot at the third playoff spot in 12-5A.

Horn could make it IF:

1) They defeat Lee, at Lee, on the final week of the season.
2) Rockwall loses one of its final two games, against either JT or Mesquite.

Should this happen, Horn would be 3-3 with a win over Rockwall (thus, the tiebreaker). Lee would finish 2-4, and the best Mesquite could do would be 3-3, but Horn also beat them.

SHOULD all of this happen, THEN:

LONGVIEW would be the D1 rep. John Tyler would be the #1 seed in D2, and HORN would be the #2 seed in D2.

SO, does anyone think Horn can beat Lee, at Lee, in the final week of the year?

yes...i think horn is very capable of beating lee..I sure hope they do.

That would be nice if Horn beat Lee. The more High powered teams in division 1 this year, the better it is for the Leander Lions lol. Just in region 2 this year, Austin Westlake, Pflugerville, and Longview will likely be in division 1.

I think Horn could pull it off...they only lost by 9 to TJT at TJT...I would love it [for garland's sake] if this happens...

Horn is very capable of beating Lee. Especially considering how they matched up. Horn didn't lose badly to JT. JT kept Mon Williams under complete control, Lee will not be able to do that. Lee's rush defense is no where near as good as JT's. Horn will win and send Longview into a powerhouse D1 bracket.
