Texas Tech going after him strong...

Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach is known for being very particular about the scholarship offers that he sends out to quarterbacks. It's a position that the eight-year head coach puts under the microscope every recruiting season and Tampa, Florida gunslinger Aaron Murray understands exactly why.

Murray currently has 39 offers.
"It's the trigger man!" exclaimed Murray. "Everything in the offense runs through that one guy, the trigger man."

The four-star Rivals100 prospect knows a little something about being the 'trigger man' after piling up almost 5,000 yards of total offense last season and finding the endzone 63 times. Those eye-popping stats have garnered the high school junior plenty of attention.

We looked at the stats and I said that's a fun offense if you get some athletes around you and sling the ball around, that's a fun time. It's real similar to my offense right now in high school. It'd be an easy transition and it'd be a lot of fun, too."

Murray will begin traveling to schools in about a month. At that time, he will narrow it down to hopefully around five finalists. The popular pro-style signal caller hopes to have a decision made before the beginning of his senior season.

I bet $1,000 he won't commit to Tech.

He looks like a Red Raider-someone that might fit into that system....

Who is your money on?...

Did most of his damage with his arm as he completed 154-of-257 for 2,936 yards with 33 touchdowns and only eight interceptions. He didn't tuck it and run much but did rush for 286 yards and a pair of scores on 43 attempts./LFCA 2nd Team All-State Selection
