It's all about the W's man. I realize that if you look at raw data you get that opinion. I can only tell you that we are magic, our juniors have never lost a district game and this VArsity team is majority juniors....

I look at your data and there is not that much difference between the two teams.. You Cove Inquisition guys seem to think that you're head and shoulders above the rest of the state. I bet you're absolutely pissed that you are not ranked #1 in the US.

All I'm doing is dishing out a big pile of the same dog crap you guys have been dishing out this entire season.

These two teams are not that much different in talent levels or wins or anything else when you get right down to it. This is going to be an epic game with the Consol magic being the edge.

Hey thats were coaching starts...Making sure the kids are taking care of things in the class before they step on the field. I dont think Cove has lost a varsity players in 10 years to grades, not sure but its been a while

Defenses of both teams seem to be playing similar. Cove's offense is scoring more points per game.

Cove plays very good team ball. If you stop Buckram or Graner you have to worry about Hawk or Milsap. Cove has plenty of talent on both side of the ball and also on the side lines. I look for a very good game with Buckram taking charge in the second half. Watch for Hawk to have his coming out game. The Kid is good. The defense is solid. We stop Shoemaker and they should not have scored 26 points. More like 12. Jack with have his boys ready.

A&M also HOPES they win. We are not all that and some. We just play solid team football. Plenty of talent on this team that is not even used. Powell is a top 25 receiver in the state and doesn't even play offense that much. Talented receiver core that does'nt even play offense, such as # 3, 30, 81, and 8. All those guys play defense. Milsap the other running back would start on 90% of the teams in 5A. Linebacker Lewis is great and should be all distict first team along with many others on the D. Look out A&M your Daddy is coming to town.

Hawk is a good young receiver. He leads the team in receiver. Yes, he's dropped a couple but he always seems to make up for it. Pros drop passes. How about the ones he has caught. The kid is good maybe not the best, but I would be willing to bet that teams have him as a player to stop. Cove has good receiver but for some reason tracey doesn't play them. Look at # 81, 3, 30 and 8 those guys don't even play offense. If they did # 4, 1 and 25 would see limited action. I think Cove does a good job in playing as many kids as possible. Look for Hawk to have a break out game this week.

Ya your right. Has a dropped ball cost the Dawgs a game. No and it will probably never will. Just like someone stated in another thread it looks like a hige drop because we only pass 10 times a game. Hawk is a good reciever, he just now is getting experience under his belt. Last time I checked the Dawgs are 8-0 and will continue to run the ball and try the fades, and nothing will stop them Friday night from getting another district title

Well i have been to several Cove games this year. You don't have to pass the ball a lot if you can run through the holes and score. When Garner passes the ball he throws it pretty hard. He is a darn good QB and runner. Hawk is young but he is getting experience thatwill help him later. I would love for him to burn it up on Friday night cause if he catches the ball (and holds on to it) you better be on a horse to catch him, he is ffffffffffaaaaaaaaasssssssstttttttttt.

The DAWGS have played very good this year and when they haven't, they have still played good enough to pull out the win. Just like AMC has.

On paper, Cove has the edge. Both teams are similar in lots of ways and with playing some close games. Either way, both teams are in the playoffs. Where you finish in the district (1,2 or 3) will not matter if you can't make it through the playoffs. I will support my boys regardless of weather they win or lose. Either way, they did better than a lot of teams and those that can't handle that then oh well.............Someone has to win and someone has to lose. Losing hurts so lets hear you on the boards posting your stories.

College Station is a nice town and has lots of $$$$$$. They should have the top of the line everything. Cove is a military town that does not have the big money maker businesses bringing in the jobs that help support the schools. The military does its part and is probably the biggest employer. Don't trash the town that has roots to defending your country and supports its military. A lot of these athletes on the Cove team have family members in the military or related roles so they have a lot to deal with that a lot of other students do not. So regardless of how you feel that Cove is over rated, us fans are going to support them kids like we do our country and cheer them on and talk the talk. We will be here to the end, if we get beat out then we can shut it up until next season when we will get ready for the battle again.

But, per capita, we have more beautiful women than just about anywhere I've been in this state. I guess the university brings them in each year. ;)

To the rest of the state: Thank you for sending a lot of your beautiful women to CS. We appreciate it every time we drive down the street, go to the grocery store, go out dancing, go out drinking, troll through Wal Mart... the possibilities are endless.

Reason enough to live here. Oh yeah, we've got a something in common with Cove... lots of military here as well getting PhD's and other advanced degrees, working with the Corp ROTC program, working with the state's homeland security group.....

I keep hearing about the running game of Cove but, have yet to heat what they run on offense. Is it a spread zone team, option, wing-T or what? There are not many teams in the state that can just line up and run it right at you but, the one that can are real good. Westfield and North Shore come to mind in the past few years.

Good question. They will run out of single back with a spread, full house option style, shotgun but still run, or 2 tightends and I-formation and just pound you, lot of sets and motion. Although you know they are going to run most of the time you can't really tell from the way they line-up so you have to play the pass and if you don't they can burn you with it.

Wow! Now that is what I would call a multiple offense. These guys must have one heck of an offensive line and some smart kids as well to be so complex. I hope I get a chance to see them play. Where do you think they will play in the first round if the predicted bracket holds true?

Cove's line isn't real big but are fast and smart. They know the system. Last year when Cove played Klein Collins in the 1st round of the playoffs it was at Texas State University in San Marcos.

I believe Trooper82 was talking about the so called fumble at the goal line at the end of the AMC/Cove game in 2003....ref said that Cove had fumbled, but most had thought it was after he broke the plane of the goal line...AMC won 28-24

For the record, 13-5a officials come out of San Antonio. I think it's like some kind of punishment for them. I'm convinced that the San Antonio chapter sends their worst officials to CenTex as a payback for sucking.

The crew that did our game in Waco was just plain inept.

I've seen some really bad officiating this year.

So, no matter the outcome in two days, I'm sure the officiating will suck for both teams, hopefully equally.

The only good thing about Bryan getting knocked of the playoffs (potentially) is that AMC would be the D1 designee. I'd rather go D1 if possible.

Yes, It's a big game for both teams. Cove fans will be in the house making some noise and ready to stand with of Dawgs. If Cove run game is on it's over before half time. Look for Hawk to have a big game and shout his none believers up. The kid is good and it will show against A&M. Also watch for Powell to have a good game. Great players make great plays during big games. The bozy from Cove are ready and know what the mission is. Take the Hill bozy!! Can't wait til 7:30 when Jack lets the Dawgs out on Tiger field. Make sure all the kids and older folks are in the house cause the Dawgs will be bitting. GO DAWGS GO!!!!!!

I understand the AMC JV Maroon team won 21-0 over the Cove JV. could have been 28-0, but our coach had them take a knee close to the goalline at the end of the game. That's the right thing to do.

We don't have a true sophomore team, we call it JV Silver. So, I guess the Maroon is the A-squad, the Silver is the B-squad. I'm not sure how the B-Squad fared against the Cove equivalent.

Yea you are correct. A win against yall would have given them district outright now a win next week at Belton and they share :( Your "B" team won as well. Enjoy Thursday because Friday is a whole different game. :D
