DrEd would not, or never has implied, or explicidly indicated that because Tre is black he is not in the picture. The fact that ALL of the SLC fans and a very large number of Texas Highschool football fan, KNOW WHO Tre is because his picture is all over the place, magazines, this website,,,etc.

While I inadvertantly left Ethan Cunningham out, I was at the same time simply pointing out that Tre was a Carroll signee as well, but was not in the picture. It was obvious for the reasons that some of my friends have pointed out.

Or maybe they offerred and he didn't want them to be "with him" in the photo. It just really looks bad/sad. In the great scheme of things (life) this is something they will probably laugh about in years to come (when he has left football behind and is a successful --insert career choice here-- but it looked bad to me. :)

The coaches were there proudly supporting thier guys and I suppose one of them could have jumped behind Ethan, but believe me, they were there, as would have been his parents if not for the miscommunication.

I will clear up the riddle on the "missing Parents" of Ethan Cunningham.

They were never told about the signing day ceremony that was taking place in the morning. It was their understanding that signing occurs with the coaches from the schools that they have scholarships to. The coach from the school that Ethan will be attending was going to be at the school at 11am. The parents showed up at 10:30. That was when they found out about the morning activities. Needless to say they were very disappointed to not have been able to be there.

Following the announcement of all the students that received scholarships (all sports) the students broke out into individual team groups. The football players were all together when this impromptu picture was taken. Ethan wasn't initially going to sit for the picture (because neither his parents or his new coach were there). But his teammates called him over and he quickly took a seat when the picture was snapped.

Ethan, and his parents, are very happy that he will be able to continue to play college level football. He will be attending William Jewell College in Liberty Missouri. This is a private, faith based university that is known for extremely high academic standards. Ethan will be studying Veterinary Medicine.

Smiling pictures of Ethan, along with his new coach, Coach Wasson, and his parents are available upon request....

Thank you for this. Please post a link to one of those pictures if possible. I know several of us would like to see. It is good to know that although he looked a little down, it was his TEAM that called him to be in the photo. Bravo, I knew there had to be "more" to the story. Good luck to him and I hope he enjoys his studies (and football of course)!
