I would like the finishing order of all 8 teams, and yes the top 4 go to the playoffs.

The top four (4) finishers look reasonable, although I would go as far as to speculate that Wagner may require one additional year to win consistently week in and week out, so they may get 3rd place behind EC, but they could still end up beating Judson but with Judson still getting first place when all is said and done [I'm thinking of what happened when TR beat Judson in 1983, but the Rocekts still won District (and also something more a few weeks thereafter)]. I say this in spite of the fact that the Rockets this fall will have a great motivation for redemption after what happened the last time they played the T-Birds. The T-Birds are still surging, but they are also still learning, but learning fast.

That is why every year is different.

28-13 last year isn't that huge of a victory and you've only won 2 years in a row. Don't make it sound like its been 7yrs in a row LOL Victoria owned King like the 15 years in a row before that though LOL

King people wanna run their mouth now that they finally beat us after years of losing hehe

I think Carroll-Victoria will determine the 4th playoff berth and I'm biased. lol
Vipers lost to Carroll (last game of the season) last season 8-7 due to a freakin safety :cry

Vipers were 2-8 last season but showed a lot of improvement (believe it or not) over the previous years under Coach Jerry Campbell. I only saw one game in person (SA Southwest game) but I could tell a difference already. Vipers were tied 21-21 with SW at half before dying in the 2nd half and losing. They played a lot better than the years under Campbell. You could tell they actually knew what they were doing or were at least attempting things. LOL. Under Campbell they looked like a bunch of chickens running around with their heads cut off. There was no discipline and order.

Carroll is always overrated so I think we have a chance of beating em and taking that last playoff spot. Hell, we should have taken them down in the regular season finale last year.

I'm hoping the Vipers make a little noise before Victoria goes back to 2 4A high schools in 2010.

Basically, the Rockets had better be prepared to play the Vipers, and play them well, or they could be in for a rude surprise. This district isn't nearly the cream-puff kind of ride the Rockets had in the last three (3) of the four (4) years (1976-79) they were in what was then **29-4A before being moved in with the NEISD. Even then in 29-4A they still had to beat those teams, they didn't just lay down for the Rockets, and EC and Nixon gave the Rockets some fairly decent scares during that time.

I don't think Judson should take any teams lightly just because they are weaker than the normal 265A teams. It could bite them in the behind if they do. :p

Victoria is capable of playing good when it wants to. We nearly took down Alamo Heights last year as well. Although they won't admit it and claimed we played dirty. :rolleyes:

Port Lavaca Calhoun is the Sandcrabs. Stroman was the Raiders.

I have no idea if they are bringing back the Stingarees and Raiders. VISD has not said anything yet about names and such. I would hope so but you never know what VISD is thinking. They did afterall vote to consolidate :rolleyes: and that was a failure.

It may very well end up including SA Southwest.

Word on the street is that Houston Stratford was approved to play 5A. I can't see why Stratford would be allowed up but Cigarroa, Nixon, and Johnson wouldn't be. That would make 29-5A an 11-team district, so someone would have to come over to 27-5A.

Either they send just Southwest to join that district, or else they send both Del Rio and Southwest and zone the schools, with Judson ISD going to Corpus and Victoria.

I think adding Southwest would make this a very interesting contest indeed.

With the rising costs of construction materials, they are already looking to cut corners at the new Judson high school. As mentioned in another post, look for the Gray Campus to still be used for 9th and 10th graders.

hey i just went in it when they had that open house @ Wagner it looked good to me had great wood shop equipment, cooking appliances, a real nice dance studio i wish they had that when i was going to Judson
