View Full Version : Were the stats lying,or is the Buffs,SM defenses,not as good as advertised.

Looks like there padded #`s just took a hit,in the stat book.It`s a liitle different when you play a team that might be able to beat you.LOL

There are a lot of teams that are better than SV in this state, but SV ends up beating them. Thats all that really matters isnt it?

Somehow I dont think that will settle anything either. Anyway, I'm glad it's beat up on SV week...you guys were wearing out the Madison fan last week. :D

There are a lot of teams that are better than SV in this state, but SV ends up beating them. Thats all that really matters isnt it?

What can you say about the Churchill game? lol.

Oh Buffy is just mad at me,with his croneys.hey,i`m glad you beat San Marcos,any one that beat a team 70-0 should lose the very next week,what a district!Just like i told Buffy,if you dont like my post ,or any other SVer.then dont read it,this is a free country.As far as Madison is concerned,they`ll have plenty of motivation to beat on SV,because we blew them off the field,on a hot saturday afternoon last year.
So come on up to the beautiful Texas Hill country next friday,and watch the burning SV in the side of the hill.All you people have on SV,is a sophmore writting on a bus.I`m sure there is`nt any gang tags,in your beloved home areas,the real ganstas.You just cant stand that some counrty boys are taking over your town,in football,DEAL With IT!

Clemens will be OK here, the first gane in the playoffs they should win. As far as who is better SV or Clemens I do not feel that one is better than the other. I feel that both will not win the championship this year and that's because of teams like SLC, Lufkin, Westfield, Katy, Northshore, ET, Clemens nor SV is any one of those this year.

I feel that both will not win the championship this year and that's because of teams like SLC, Lufkin, Westfield, Katy, Northshore, ET, Clemens nor SV is any one of those this year.
Except that most of those are currently in the D1 bracket as things stand now.

We might play SV in the 1st round if they do not take care of the rest of their business in district! Trust me, even without James Henry out there, Clemens will give SV all they can handle!

Yeah, you're absolutely right. :rolleyes: Both SM and SC were sure our defenses would shut each other out and hold each other to less than 100 yards. We were so sure it'd be no different than any other week in 25-5. We're just so stupid. I guess we Buff fans were wrong in bragging that we could shut out any team in the state, even SLC and Westfield. :rolleyes: (although it's funny, I don't remember making those kind of claims)





Never mind that we both held each other to less total yards and points than normal. Or pretty much what anyone would expect when two good teams meet.

Ranger fans you have our sympathy and understanding. Most families have a SVite hidden somewhere in their family tree.

The Buffs defense is good, but the numbers were inflated like a bunch of us said all along. Good offense can score and move the ball on good defense. Your good offense and the other guy's bad offense makes your defense look better.

Our defense held then to about 4 yds per carry. That's about 1/2 of what SM's average is. I'd say that's not bad! And you're right, a good offense will score on a good defense, just not as much as on a bad defense. LOL

We'll see whoever plays SM from 26-5a in the 1st round if they can get it done defensively! I'll bet that they have their hands completely full, and if SM executes like they did Friday night they will win that game!!!!!!!

it was a good day for Churchill, and a bad one for SV. When you let a team with a good defense get up 14-0 on you in the first half, its hard to come back and win. Remember it ended 14-10, so they almost made up for it. I think 6-1 is good right now however. I can say it was better this year than it was last year at this time with a record of 5-2, oh yea, they ended in the state finals and were closer to beating the #1 team in the nation than anyone was last year. **** happens, good teams overcome it.

What can you say about the Churchill game? lol.

wow, what class. Racial? :rolleyes: Yea one of the players ran over during the game and wrote the stuff on the bus. Did you see it? He did it real fast. There were only 11 men on the field for one series.

They probably will win, but the fans on SV's side will not look half as shocked as Madisons fans did last year, when SV put it to them 42-6. Madison was suppose to crush SV last year. We know out kids are not as talented as Madison's, so a SV loss is very possible, and I expect it.
