It is nice to have them back i remember playing against them when they were cujo and they had david warren and many others. Looks like they got them self a good coach and went back to basics and playing cujo football.

they are beating a Tyler lee team that is well safe to say Overrated plain and simple to much hype and not enough bite this year for the red raiders but they will be back i am sure of that.

but Cujo 35- lee 7 with 3 min left in the 4th. WOW i did not expect this but i am glad to have them back now lets get the old district together.

Lufkin, longview,JT,LEE,Marshall and Nac. those were the best days the Best District in Texas.

I know you and your brother have a love affair with JT but talk to me after the Longview game and if they beat them i will believe you that they are back trust me. They are a good 5a team now but they are hardly back to their big time days until they beat a top 10 5a team considering they lost to Kilgore in ot. If they beat Longview i will shut up about them i promise.

I believe they are back. They held mon to 17 yds and J Williams to around 20. The question is can they stop three from Lview. If they can this will be a close game and JT could be on their way to a cinderella season. But I think Lview will wear them down win it in the fourth.

Longview will win by at least 17 in that one. You heard it here first!!

what does lee corso always say. "closer than the experts think" I think it will be 3 to 7 point either way this game. once they play Longview.

we shall see.

And I dont have a love affair for the lions. When i went to tyler Junior college my roommate played for the Lions so we always talked panthers and lions and we still talk so i wish them the best of luck just like i wish any team in east Texas because they are representing East Texas and I am proud to be From Lufkin and from east Texas and i wish everything goes well. I tell people up here all the time about Texas football and Lufkin. I went to a Cali game the other night man it was so bad.

JT actually held Jason Williams to 25 yards, I believe. I'm disappointed because that allowed him to go 3 yds over 1000 for the season, but I guess you can't win 'em all. :p

Anyway, it all depends on how you define the word "back" when you say Cujo is back. JT is definitely back from the cellar and is a very competative team. Are they back to the championship calibar teams of the 90's that annually plays in December? Probably not, but only time will tell. I will say that JT's defense is very much on par with those teams of the 90's, but our offense definitely is not.

I had predicted that JT would win this game 14-7 in a defensive battle, and if you take away the 28 pts that JT scored on Lee turnovers, that's what it would've been. I do not think JT is as good as this 42-7 win projects, and I also don't think Lee is as bad as what this score shows either. Lee just could not hang on to the ball, turning it over 5 times plus a blocked punt for a touchdown, and there's no way any team can recover from that.

I still have no idea what will happen next week vs Rockwall, but I expect it to be a very close game unless or until one of the teams decides to turn the ball over. I just hope JT won't be looking ahead to the next week at the game vs Longview, because I think JT will have to have a quick start to seige the momentum and hold it in order to win the game against the Yellowjackets.

As far as JT vs Longview.... I think there's plenty of time to speculate what will or will not happen in that game in two weeks, after Rockwall and North Mesquite are taken care of. After that, we'll be able to have an old fashioned battle for the District Championship. :D
