Posting this for two reasons really....Really just for information basically....

One- because Dutchtown is another of those River Parish schools that play in that same district as Hahnville , Destrehan, and East St John(Ryan Perrilloux's old school ) here in class 5A....

Two-I heard some rumblings that alot of Texas schools will be going after this kid and his running partner.....Alot of people think he's going OOS for sure-I dunno.....It's not like Texas schools need him with all the talent in Texas, but his name will come up......To be honest haven't seen him play in person, only on tape....

Dutchtown will be ranked high in 5A this year and a good bet to go far in the playoffs....

Louisiana is going to be loaded at the running back position for 2009 and Dutchtown’s Eddie Lacy is sure to be a big part of that.

A 6-0, 210 pound junior to be, Eddie Lacy certainly has the size that college coaches dream over.
After posting a 4.44 (40), to go with a 4.22 shuttle time at the Scout.com All-American Combine in New Orleans, you’ll be hard pressed to find many running backs with more impressive measurables than Lacy.

And those measurables certainly translated well to the field last season as Lacy rushed for roughly 1200 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Those impressive numbers led to Lacy being named to last year’s All Ascension Parish team. What’s even more impressive about those numbers is that they would likely have been even bigger if Lacy wasn’t sharing carries with fellow sophomore teammate and future running back prospect Kelvin York.

When asked to describe himself as a running back Lacy says, “I’m a speed and agility and power type running back. I have good vision to read the holes. I try to model my game after LaDainian Tomlinson.”

Lacy has set the bar high for himself this season and he has a few goals he is working towards.

“My goal for this year is to accomplish more this year than I did last year and to help my team get further into the playoffs," he said. "I want more yards, more touchdowns, and higher yards per carry. I also want to improve my pass blocking.”

Improving on last year’s numbers will certainly go a long way in jump starting Lacy’s recruitment, but that’s not to say he hasn’t started hearing from some schools already.
