Just watch: Mike Leach is awesome! (http://www.weathernow.tv/video/weather.wmv)

He's got to be the coolest coach on the planet. This guy has a Law degree from Pepperdine and he's the head coach of a major D1 program, yet he (obviously) doesn't take himself too seriously and on top of it all, he's hilarious! Have you seen his interviews? I love Mike Leach...that dude never ceases to crack me up. That video is priceless.

Do I sense a bit of sarcasm, wide? I was being serious! I love that he makes an *** of himself and doesn't care one bit. I just like that he doesn't take things too seriously...including himself. I think the guy is hilarious...what a character!

He's just as good in person kt. My son was at one of his camps this summer and he stopped by and talked. Neat guy, btw...so is Patterson at TCU.

Leach is great
I was cracking up this weekend when they showed a interview with him before the K-State game.
He was talking about how Lyle Stenich gave him his first coaching job and when he went to talk with Coach Stenich in California many years ago, the wife and kid got upset for being left out in the car, it just killed me when he kept refering to his wife and kid as "the wife and kid".

I would love to be at a press conference with both Leach and Knight when leach is making his comments with Bobby Knight doing his game face immitation, that would be classic.

yeah i believe it was before the nebraska game, and he mentioned how special a place Lincoln was, saying something like, they have the drummer from Motley Crew going to college there, and any place with the drummer from motley crew is a special place.

I think Leach is awesome. He had a great interview with the SA radio guys last year. Why go through life being serious about everything? I sure don't!

Me either...I try to make at least one person laugh every day.
I have been that way my entire life. Got me in trouble a lot...but
made me a whole bunch of friends.

Everybody always talks about Leach being a drunk, but did he ever get pulled over for DUI? I know he LOOKS like a drunk, but do we have proof? I might've missed something when I lived in Korea.

Any guy that allows Wide to come back 3 different times..has to be pretty laid back. That's why we love you brother...Now put me in the hall or I'll start cussin' people out again.

Nah, the guys in the booth and studio liked it, too. I always like his interviews because he looks so serious when he says that stuff. What gets me is that he was studying law and is nothing like a lawyer. He's too honest to be a lawyer! :p
