Are the first teams on these lists a regular season game, or are they scrimmage games?

Cinco has a running back that not only had some pretty decent size, he was also a really good runner. He gave us fits in round one of the playoffs. If i'm not mistaken, he'll be back this coming year. I was pretty impressed with him but i can't remember his name.
#19 was his number i believe.

All games listed should be regular games. I do not have info on the scrimmage games yet.
Who does Cy Fair have coming back? The Woodlands will be very good I think. They should beat Katy in Week 1.

#19 is Adam Hirtz. Cinco should have a good team next season, and I expect them to give Katy a fight. They have two quarterbacks returning who can get the job done, and also have some experienced players to build around on defense.
Their sub-varsity teams have been getting progressively better since the school started varsity play in 2000, so they are doing a better job of reloading. They had to fight both inexperience and injuries last year. It was a lot like their 2005 season.
They followed that up with their most successful season to date in 2006.

Both sets of qb's for CR and CP should be pretty good.
Both Zach Myers (CR) and Taylor Parsons (CP) had impressive playoff games as sophs.
I expect jr. Chris Brennan who saw a lot of action last year will again share the QB spot with Parsons in pre district.
Is Shane Ros expected to be the starter for Cinco?

Conroe schools are in a six-team district, so they need five nondistrict games. Those do not appear to be scrimmages to me.

Is Shane Ros expected to be the starter for Cinco?
I expect Ros to be the starter and a team captain. However, who knows what they might do this off-season after Myers' unexpected experience last year. Ros is a versatile athlete, and can play numerous positions. He started at corner as a soph.
I think that Ros and Myers will work in tandem next year. Ros brings a dual threat to the backfield, and leads by example on the field from what I've seen.

TB-Tevin Champagne-(Jr.) should be alright. He doesn't have quite the speed that McGuffie had though.
FB-Morrice Lane (Sr.) 5-11 220+ should be the headline RB this coming year. Strong, & very fast for his size. He needs to work on ball control though.
LB-Michael DeRonch (Sr.) 6-0, 210 Should be really good again this coming year.
TE-Colby Goodwin (Sr.) 6-4, 220 Should be excellent again this coming year.
A few other Jr's. & Sr's. should be back from the varisty roster. 16 all together.
QB-Robert Slatton (Sr.)

My understanding is that TWHS will play Cy-Fair in the regular season and will scrimmage Bryan instead of Cy-Fair in 2008. I don't know home/away schedules yet except to assume we play Katy @ Woodforest NB Stadium.

My question is, how will Lufkin fit into New Caney's stadium...
It seats 7,000...with 5'000 on the home side.
we will do like we did klein in 06...show up early and fill the whole stadium up with purple

doesnt matter -- years ago when New Caney was in district with McCullough ( The Woodlands ) they had at best maybe 1000 fans at home -- so I expect Lufkin to get to NC early --take all 5000 seats on home site and make NC sit on the grass -- after all that is what they do at Abe isnt it ????

The last two years they have avg 4-5 thousands.... Im going to go, just so i can laugh at the massive Lufkin turnout...and new caney fans scratching their heads saying "am i on the wrong side."

Having spent a portion of my childhood in a 3rd world country, I'm sure I've eaten worse.
Speaking of concession food, they have better food at the JV games and other sporting events held at both TWHS and TWCP, than they've ever had at Moorhead. The BBQ sandwiches at War in the Woods and the JV games aren't bad at all.

If you want some really good home-cooked burgers --try the TWH baseball concession ( at McC Scotland Yard )

Just going off topic for a moment...
Just got back from a great girls bball game. Conroe 54 CP 52
CP already had dist wrapped up. It's been a great 3 way battle between TWHS, TWCP and Conroe.
Conroe CP - split series
TWHS CP - CP won both games by an aggregate total of 6 pts
Conroe TWHS - split series
CP wins district outright with only 1 loss.
Great great talent on all 3 teams. I would hate to face TWHS in the playoffs and have to beat them a 3rd time.
CP boys are also leading district by 1 game over Lufkin who they have beaten twice this year. They just need to win 1 out of the remaining 2 games on their schedule to clinch the Dist championship.
Great accomplishment for both programs in only its 3rd year.

Who does The Woodlands have coming back?
Defensive?
Offensive?
Fair has;
4 Defensive starters
2 Offensive starters
We'll have a new QB (played JV last year). Center & TE both returning starters, some of the other linemen had some playing time, both RB's had quite a bit of playing time. We're really hurting at WR though-not one underclassman coming back.
Defensively we're not hurting too bad. 2 starting DB's return, one starting LB with a backup that had a lot of playing time. One starting DE returns, another (Jr.) DE played half the season, and 3 of our DT's coming back had a lot of playing time. (Sr. Karl Wolfe was injured half the season).
We don't have a kicker..or a punter that i know of.
I'm anxious to see what this new QB does in 7 on 7.

They will have a new QB. Probably Andy McLoud. I saw him in the JV game against us. He's pretty good and typical of the style of QB for their pro set. There is also a Fr they are excited about. I think he gives them a running threat from that position.
All the buzz is about Fr RB Daniel Lasco. Ran for over 250 against Westfield and left the Westfield DB's for dead, apparently.
Very deep at receiver, with Tweedy, Eastman and Knust and Rowe who also plays RB and DB.
Defensively, LB Renton and DB's Rowe, Maires, Adamo and Charbonnet. Sure they have a few more returning varsity players since they were underclassman heavy last year.

I heard he did all that on 13 carries. That's pretty impressive for a freshman..or any back for that matter!

By the end of the season there were 10 JRs starting on defense - 14 JRs total played significant minutes on the defensive side of the ball. The front four are all returning - Cochran DE - 1st all-district, Baker DL -1st team All District, Finney DL - 2nd team All District, Knight DE - 2nd team All District - it should be solid.
Offense will return 5 starters - a lot of depth at WR and TE.
The QB will be new to starting varsity, but he has played with most of this group since he was 8 or 9.

The article is about his Freshmen games. The real deal was when this same freshman ran for 3 tds and 250+ yards against that Bad Arse Varsity Westfield D. Wow is all I can say.
