We have a great matchup for the game when Lufkin plays the woodlands we have on the woodlands side a good Wr in Drabec he is amwazing and then we have superman I mean L. Hewitt for the Pack one of the best if not the best cover corner in the State of Texas and will be a lock down corner in college.

Who wins the matchup? i think it will be key to get pressure on the qb from the woodlands to make him throw bad passes and not put the ball in the spot for drabec to catch them so pressure upfront wins this match up to me but it is going to be a good matchup and i am sure that both will make a big play you can stop a good corner and you cant stop a good Wr it is going to come down to who wants to shut down who.

Cant wait for this match up it is a shame that other teams in this district are not that good and that is just the truth it is not like playing lee, longview,jt,marshall or nac in the old days those games got you ready to play in the playoffs and that is what teams need good stong games in district to put you behind and make you come back and play a close game and play a 4th quarter game and lets just face it this district is not that good.

GO PANTHERS cant wait for this game.

Norhtshore's corner intercepted 3 passes covering Drabek. The real question is can Hewitt get 4.

Well i was a big fan of Chris Brown over Landry until he got toasted a few times lately and then i was glad to see D Landry back in there because he has lock down potential along with safety Jamie Harris who is also a very good cover guy. Everybody knows about Hewitt he is a phenomenal shut down corner. C Brown still has a lot of talent he just needs to quit thinking he is a shut down corner and play smarter. I like the LP's secondary chances in this one. Especially because the qb will usually only have about 1 or 2 seconds to get rid of it before he is hit. ;)

Drabek was non-factor in Collins Game, caught a couple on a rub route with his classic push-off/turn inside move but he isn't a factor this year. #1 was only weapon that hurt Collins and he hurt badly. They didn't move the ball while he was catching his breath. (Asthma or something).

Reason? - You still need a QB that can consistantly get it to him, and 2) This isn't the same Drabek from last year. Maybe the injury, maybe his famous attitude that even the fine Woodlands folks are getting tired of. You can only fire so many F bombs at people before they get tired of hearing it. Drabek is a great athlete and I hope he learns that this isn't "cool" anymore.

I'm sure TWHS will at least think of trying the delayed screen - that seems to be one play LP hasn't mastered. After an early burn (excluding the delayed screen) - the LP secondary calmed down and handled a decent KF passing attack pretty handily. My guess is TWHS will try power rushing and a direct passing assault on the opposite side of Leonard - and they will do it fairly well (compared to others). Someone mentioned the LP free-safety -- Jamie Harris - he is a key here - fast and strong - he's got to make the plays on longer passing attempts - like Dixon did last year. I think Jamie will have a break-out game before district is over.

Favpack this is not same Woodlands offense as last year they have really struggled!! The 2 deep passes that Lufkin got beat with lately had nothing to do with Jamie. Jamie was covering another slot guy man to man when those 2 passes happened. C Brown simply got beat both times in man to man coverage. Lufkin is about 100 percent man to man now with this aggressive style because they send a lot of people at the qb. By the way, Lufkin's 1st string has only given up a total of 3 2nd half points. The other few scores in the 2nd half where vs the 2nd string at the end of the game. Some big plays will happen vs this defense due to their aggressive style but 82 tackles for losses and 17 sacks in only 7 games is a great trade off and is worth it. They have given up 9 points a game but the 1st string defense probably has given up about 4 or 5 points a game??

In North Shore game two of the Int's were Hail Marys one coming at the end of the 1st half, a garbage play. Chikee Brown of NS was a good physical corner, a real 6' 1" 185lbs.

I've seen Hewitt he doesn't seem to be that big. I know he likes to hit. Drabek is still getting back his game legs. It will be a great match up.

Both these defensive teams are very simular. The Woodz has 50 TFNY and 11 sacks. But the real stat is the 10 stops in the red zone. They to don't give up many points in the second half 17 points in the last 6 games. The only real break down they've had was in the 4th Qrt with Katy, giving up 17 points after being on the field over 81 plays for the game. Dalton of Katy is the real deal not to mention Will Thompson a gamer.

Hewitt does like to hit....might not be too tall, but he can jump out of the stadium to catch those balls thrown to his side...be very interesting...I'm heading down from Dallas to watch the game.

Yes Hewitt is about 5,10 and has a knack for getting to the ball. A basketball player also that can dunk. His vertical leap is awesome. The reasons for his int drop off is because they don,t throw to his side much anymore.I think he has 5 int,s this year and should have 6, he drop one that would have been 6,he was seeing green grass before hauling in the throw.
