View Full Version : Appeal to all SA Lee Volunteers fans, players and coaches.

I know right about now everyone is having doubts about they're beloved Lee Volunteers, but I just want everyone to keep your head up.It couldbe worse..we could be in Judsons position not even knowing if we want to make the playoffs or not. We could have Judsons offense..who didnt dominate us this year like years past. Win, lose or lose we need keep on keeping on. Soon enough Volunteer pride will be running over San Antonio... Like it did on Southwest 31-12 in week one. Just wait Cojo, SV, Clemens and yes even Holmes, who barely beat us in week 2, in a couple of decades we'll be coming... Just ask Madison we gave them just a preview of Volunteer pride. You all have had your laughs at us....and even weve laughed at us.... but we'll be doing the majority of laughing soon enough. Probably like 5/8s of the laughing or maybe even 3/4s of the laughing....yeah....you probably think thats outragous now, but you'll at least chuckle when we're doing most of the laughing......AT YOU.
As for our coaching staff.. Come on guys, your the same staff that kept my nephews pee-wee team at a respectable 4-4... How bout we transfer some of those wins over to the high school level? Whats the difference? Im just getting tired of that same play where we give it to the other team and let them score. I heard we have a monsterous O-line in the middle school and if so loooook out. Get these kids and coaches on the same page then 26-5a will just be a little more difficult.
Come on Lee faithful lets let loose this week....We play in SV and we need to let or Volunteer pride flow. If we at least get over 25 fans we can crank up some LEE MOJO and rattle some Ranger cages. Lets for once have more fans than we do pep squad... or drill team..... or even cheerleaders. Having less fans than cheerleaders kind of just defeats the purpose. As for me i'll probably cheering on for a half on my radio before falling asleep. I got an eventful Saturday of....well....I gotta wake up and.... Ill go get a paper and see what heppened in the second half.
So GO LEE... Show em what we got.... if they laugh...we'll laugh too because eventually we'll have the last laugh.

The problem with Lee is that they have NEISD's Magnet school. All the kids that go there are not eligible to play sports, so they have a bigger population than can play sports. Lee hasn't always been bad, they had their Glory Days, but most of us are to young to remember them. I never make fun of Lee because those guys have so much heart to go out and fight a losing battle.

Yeah, these appeal threads are getting as bad as the "Official 26-5a" ones....
Why is SV making such a big deal about playing Lee?

As Coach Jeter would Lee is a team that could hurt you in many ways, that number xx is a big'um and that number is a good'on. You can't take them lightly.

Of course people take them lightly, they can spoil someone's season....
But Lee doesn't have the talent Judson had/has

lee has some big boys.the biggest we have seen yet..i think they have 10 or 15 over 250 and one monsterous 320 pound d-tackle.

....doesn't appear to have helped them.
Reagan was sacking and getting penetration right and left on defense and then on offense, was running right up the middle TD after TD....

I hope this is a competitive game. Making fun of Lee HS is kind of different than making fun of any regular stuggling school. They have no prospects for ever leaving 26-5A; how unfortunate.

Well, I have some strong opinions about how people are acting about this game but would prefer not to air them....

It seems Smithson Valley is really intersted in letting everyone watch this Lee game.....sad if you ask me.

Tonight it`s like playing in 25 5A.KT make sure you put these stats on SV,and show how great our defense ,i know we cant match up with Clemens ,and San Marcos #`s but were trying.Those guys are just unbeatable. :rolleyes:

25 5A,has even gotten the Matadors talking smack.And now you guys should be also.Which team has stomped your playoffs hopes in the ground the most the last 5 years now.And Not one coach has left at SV,we might have something for your team.We love that pretty purple at the dome,at home,in san marcos,or even at some other nuetral site.

Geez ....you guys take these threads waaaaay too seriously. I wasnt making fun of Lee and no Redskins I wasnt trying to bring attention to the SV-Lee game. An idiot could guess who would win this game. I posted this in response to Lonnys Judson thread.....Judson like must teams have ups and downs but they're ups are much better than most teams...and when they're down they are still better than most teams. I was just trying to state that it could be worse Judson... Lee was once a successful program and just fell into a mudhole that they couldnt get out of....yet... They dont have a really competetive team anymore, although, they are getting better. I feel with the new school open and taking some players and coaching staff...deep down Judson doesnt want to fall into that same mudhole.... Everyone takes a poke at Lee every season and I just thought I would have a Lee dedicated thread...... When everyone laughs at how they beat Lee its ok, but when you crack the joke your an idiot? Im bringing attention to the SV-Lee game? I think monkey would know the Judson-Madison, San Marcos-Clemens or even the Reagan-Roosevelt will be much better games. Yes im from the SV area and have seen the roughest times there....The 80s SV makes the current Lee team look like UT. Weve been to the bottom and top...weve had stones thrown at us and we're going to throw some. Just dont take this crap to seriously or youll end up like poor Lonny posting 300 times a day.
As for Judson... If they're offense can get in sync...somewhat.....they will be a lot better....they have the defense but it took SV until the Madison game last year to really get into the groove.....I think Judson will find that groove tonight and slide away from that mudhole.

yeah you have... its unreal but that just shows how great this board is....people on here have been having so much fun on here the time is just flying by. unfortunately my prediction for Lee then has yet to come true:(

I really did see your humor, but I had to chuckle when thinking about Lee that Linus Baer and Tommy Kramer graduated a long time ago. :D

Lee has had some of the best individual players in the area over the past couple of years:
Travis Lewis - starring at OU
Jerome Tiller - at Iowa State
They just don't have the depth to compete in 265A.

They've got some players this year too! They haven't had the face time with the local stations, but those guys deserve a bunch of credit. They've got some fine athletes at Lee this year.
