Server Move- Boards Shut Down in 12/24 hrs

We are going through with a server change starting today that will shut the boards down. You should still be able to access the main site while this is happening.

Host transfers generally take 48-72 hours to complete. Our new host addresses have to be propagated over the entire WWW, and that's what takes most of that time.

We've decided to get this in place now, so we don't have to shut it down AFTER realignment when activity picks up. We've been addressing our stability issues all month.

The transfer should be complete by Friday or Saturday.

We will be able to post realignment information on the main site Friday, and also on the MySpace page.

We are opting out of our last 6 months on the current deal to get this site on a more stable and reliable platform.

We could stand pat with the current host until the end of our plan, but we aren't confident they can keep us running based on what we've learned in the last 2-3 weeks. So, we've decided to take action.

Thank goodness I'm pretty busy this week:D. I've only had time to go on the site a couple of times and once, the Brits were asking what the heck that was all about - that's what I get for surfing at work - and not even in my own office. So, I had to explain Texas high school football to some very strange stares indeed. Well, tomorrow I don't have to work at least and I'm finally going to see Buckingham Palace and Big Ben and stuff.

Better now than later. Cuz if you guys wait to change, then the server will just go down anyways on realignment, so it might as well be down and then have something to show for it.
