You keep me laughing Redskins88! Why do you think that Churchill needs to choke for Reagan to beat them? If Reagan plays their best, they'll have a chance to win this one at the end. Churchill's offense is not very good IMO! Their defense is good and your offense is pretty good, so this one will be a toss up once again IMO.

How'd they get SV and well....nevermind...I guess quite a few teams could get them...
I like the way our new running back is opening it up and relieving Greg Jones a lil bit....
I think our defense is decent enough to hold an average offense...

I know that your defense is good enough to slow down Churchill. Greg Jones must be one hell of an athlete! If Reagan can find another person to take some of the heat off him, they could really make some noise the last three games and in the playoffs. I have a whole lot of respect for Reagan for the simple fact of how well they played us the 4 years that we were in 26-5a! Reagan has really done well in athletics for the short time they have been around. Basketball and Baseball teams are simply great, and if they were in a different district, their football team would have already made the playoffs several times!

Thank you, I kinda like the Clemens people....Texas Headliner was pretty cool. I think our football team has finally turned a corner this year....and like I said our Sophomore running back who until just a few games ago started. He and Jones each had about 100+ yards rushing EACH...they're both excellent athletes.

Mac/Churchill
Churchill 19
MacArthur 7
All I can say is WOW! I thought it would be a hard fought battle but never saw this coming. :(
Churchill had control of both lines of scrimmage and at the end it just looked like Mac was out of gas. After the first drive by Mac which they took from their 25yd line and scored, Churchill pretty much had control of the game. Churchill made two great int to stop drives and the 1st set up Churchill at the Mac 30 with the score 7-0 Mac. Churchill took it in and it seemed to change the momentum of the game. Churchill never gave it back. Churchill shut down any attempt of a Mac run game (Jonathan Craig had 9 touches the whole game????) and Mac decided to keep the passing game short this week. It didn't work as Churchill was very good at making the tackle.
At the end of the 2nd quarter Mac was in FG range and had a sack and penalty to move them out. Udell's punt was a shank and with less then a min to go Churchill drove down the field on a soft coverage to get in FG range. BAM! 47yd FG, 10-7 Churchill lead at half. I sure didn't think that Mac should have been behind but that's what happend. 2nd half was another story. Churchill came out and drove the ball right down the field for 7:00 mins and finished it off witha FG to go up 13-7. Mac went 3 and out and before you knew it we were in the 4th quarter. Churchill took control of the game and Mac ran 16 plays in the 2nd half. 16!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, it's very difficult to lose this game. Pretty much ends Mac's chance.
Give Churchill and their coaches credit. They shut down Mac to 152yds for the game and that' after an 75yd scoring drive to start the game off. Maybe last weeks win over Judson was no fluke.
Good game Chargers.

Yeah, I think Churchill might've been the better team - no offense to Mac, they had a great season. I just wanted Churchill to win to make the stakes high for next week...I was surprised how Churchill shut down Macarthur's running game....does Udell have trouble making the long passes?

No, we tried it once right before the half and once with 40 sec to go. The coaches decided they could attack the Chargers defense with the short pass. It didn't work. Again after the game the coaches told the kids that the game plan was wrong but most of the kids felt that the execution was part of the problem too.

Well, what killed them with the short passes was how often they did it against Roosevelt and the big plays that were resulting. They had two big plays (even TDs i think) and if you have those big of plays, teams are gonna focus on that. From what I've seen, i think Udell has a hard time throwing long...I think even Greg has that problem. Which, if you run Gibbs' offense of midrange passing and just get enough for first downs, then you'll be fine and won't need things like hail mary's...

He actually throws a good deep ball. It's more of an arching throw but we've had 5 or 6 long TD passes. They just didn't try it tonight and the fact that they drove down the field on the fisrt drive and scored probably didn't help. They only had 1 possesion in the 3rd quarter and it was 13-7 going into the 4th. I would have liked to seem them at least try to challenge them but that didn't happen and that's the way it goes. :(

I'd prefer arching than a straight ball....Greg threw a few straight balls against Jay...two intereceptions. Course the arching ball would have to have some speed on it of course.
Now, looking at the game as an analyst I'm kinda glad Mac is practically out of playoff contention. But, as a person and for some of my friends at Mac, I feel kinda bad cause ever since they were freshman, they never had a good team....

Reagan could get there self in trouble,running Jones that much,ask Churchill,2 years in a row now.Out for the season,QB/RB..just a matter of time.On a higher level,Micheal Vick,lost for a season,missed 2 weeks ago,soon injured list again.

Well, most of the teams we play don't take cheap shots so I don't worry too much. But it's good to see we're handing the ball around to open up the offense.
