Irving Mac's best year was last year and their talent has died since then. The fact that they're 7-0 is luck. Take a look:
(reasons they won are in paranthesis)

Irving Mac 44 Arlington Seguin 21 (4A)
Irving Mac 34 Allen 29 (not ranked)
Irving Mac 27 Lakeview Centennial 20 (not ranked)
Irving Mac 21 LD Bell 17 (not ranked)
Irving Mac 24 Coppel 17 (not ranked/Moody wasn't playing)
Irving Mac 21 Irving 14 (not ranked/Evans wasn't playing)

All of these games except Arl. Segiun were won by 7 points or less to non-ranked teams. Moody and Evans were coincedentally not playing against Mac but if they were they probably would have beaten them. SGP is the first top 25 team Mac has to play so their luck is about to run out.

MacArthur is not near as good as their record reflects. They have done well in capitalizing on other teams mistakes, but SGP is a very powerful team...
I forsee a pretty big game for SGP.
Mac has a good defense, as does SGP. It should be a good defensive battle, but in the end...Mac's offense is a slice under Denzel Dewberry and Co.

SGP beat Bell 42-7 while Bell nearly beat Mac... (if that put things into perspective).

WOW!!! if I had voted before I went to the game, I would have said SGP hands down.

BUT Mac pulls it of 3-0! It was ugly!!!!

That's about as low scoring as it gets. Must have been quite a defensive game but Mac hangs on to their rabbits foot.

Actually I am not sure it was so much a defensive game as a shoot yourself in the foot and bad play calling.

SGP tried a reverse 3 times in the second half - twice deep in MAC territory - both teams missed 2 field goals each - neither QB hit their target and LOTS of penalties!!!!!

It will be interesting to see the actual offensive stats - they both drove up and down - just never could get in the end zone.

Went to the game last night and it was a pretty good game. It was a defensive fiesta. These offenses though were terrible. Would like to see the stats on this game. We have both of these guys after this week. If they don't play better than this THE HAKA and Trinity will have a good night. SGP struck me as being lazy not hussling. MAC needs a QB and people who can catch. Maybe FW paper will have the stats. Would be surprised if both teams combined had 200 yards. :(

If DR makes it to the playoffs, it will face either IMAC or SGP in the first round. The low scoring of last night's game gives DR fans hope since DR's offense has been sporadic this year. DR v. IMAC or SGP would be a defensive struggle.
