Have not seen Consol play (will in a week an a half), but have seen Belton play 3 games (Abilene, Bryan, Temple). Belton played well enough to beat Abilene, they tried the "home run shot" late in the game instead of running Daniels, result interseption, game winning drive to end it by Abilene....
Against Bryan, totally dominated Bryan, but shot theirselves in the foot to many times, let Bryan get 3-4 big plays, including kickoff return for TD by Woods.result massive stats an 28-18 loss, Temple, doesn't really count, rivalry game, offense couldn't get going, but defense only allowed Temple one play on Belton's side of field......


Opinion: Belton, an enigma, which team will show up? Can't seem to close the deal.....

Well, this may seem stupid, but i think this game could go either way. Daniels is alot better than any backs heights has, and heights had 2 rushers over 100 yards. Can amc stop the run? Can amc force belton to throw? Can Belton containg amcs wing t offence? In the end amc gets it done in a physical game.

Last week our D bended a lot, but didn't really break too badly. 14 points wasn't a lot to allow with them having two guys with over 100 yds each. We had a great goal line stand, a nice interception in the end zone (that should have been downed and not run back to the 6 yd line) and a key interception at the end of the game. Also a big fumble recovery on a punt muff.

I would love to see us actually get a lead this game and not get behind. Three cardiac games in a row is plenty for a season if you ask me.

I think 24-14 is about what I'd expect.

There is one other wild card that we ought to consider. AMC's jr running back is back from grades this week. I think he's got a major chip on his shoulder. I predict a break out game for him. If Palmer gets hot, that will open up the passing lanes.

Also, which QB will start for AMC? The kid that came in and won the game last week is one heck of a runner. He had nerves that first drive, but came back to win the game. Key 3rd down running conversions by him, getting out of bounds, etc.,. Heads up play. This is the same kid that did so well in the Eisenhower game. Then he got benched against Westlake. 5 weeks later, he comes in and wins. So, we've got 2 QB's that have a lot of confidence in their ability to run the team. And, the team has confidence in them.

It ought to be a good one.

Belton is like a reflection of consol basicly in their past games, except we have been on the come back side and they have only lost by a few points this is going to be another tough game for us but hopefully if off. can click the def. can stop belton's amazing running back, and hopefully we will clinch a play-off spot. but the tigers are def. looking at this game as a must win situation.

I think itll be a close game. We (belton) cant ever seem to not play a close game lol. I think our defense stepped up at some of the past games but shoemaker did them purdy good. It seems like our defense and offense isnt clicking if you know what i mean. either defense is doin good and our offense halters or our offense does good and defense doesnt. I look foward to tomorrows game, just like i do every game. score, ??/?? i just care about the win not the score

I have faith that AMC will finally play all 4 qtrs this week on Offense & Defense. And when they finally do pull it all together the outcome is going to surprise a lot of people including a few of the players themselves. Its time to put all the pieces together and turn this good team into a great team!
Lock down the playoffs this week against a very tough Belton Team and lock down district next week against Copperas Cove.

Personally I like Copperas Cove and their fans, great job of coaching and turning around a program that not so long ago everyone wanted as their Homecoming Date. Cove has had their close & come from behind games this season too just like AMC. I watched the Judson Game at Cove this year and both teams played terrible. If Judson would have brought a Jr. high kicker with them they would have won the game easily. Judson only hit one extra point in the game and that is because the Center was actually laying flat on the ground. On most attempts the kicker just kicked the ball into the backs of his O-Line, it was crazy to even try any field goals that night. Judson should have put two more Td's on the board that night but their foul mouths and no team disipline pushed them back out of the "Red Zone" twice because of critical penalties. Then Waco played Cove yard for yard last week in a seven quarter football game that somebody had to win eventually, Cove has its weaknesses too and they can be beaten, but you better play all 4 quarters and sometimes 7 or 8 quarters to do it.

AMC Tigers get focused on a very good Belton team for now and we will welcome Cove to town next week!
