Herbie is right and I would imagine he's pissed to be right because he is a Big Televen homer.

It was one of the funniest things I've seen on ESPN in a while. He seriously sounded like he had just finished balling his eyes out.

If they can get Notre Dame to join they will immediately become a powerhouse conference again.

youtube?

I was outside talking to some friends back in Athens, we have our stupid little chant of "big boy football" gay I know, but as I found out, the SEC is a brother-hood. Would love to see that.

How is adding another slow, unathletic team going to help the Big 10?

See the last year's Sugar Bowl.

I was outside talking to some friends back in Athens, we have our stupid little chant of "big boy football" gay I know, but as I found out, the SEC is a brother-hood. Would love to see that. Here's a good point of discussion. This was the bowl records this year:

CONFERENCE RECORDS
Conference records in bowl games. (Total teams in parenthesis).
Southeastern (9) 7-2
Big 12 (8) 5-3
Mountain West (5) 4-1
Pacific 10 (6) 4-2
Big East (5) 3-2
Big Ten (8) 3-5
Conference USA (6) 2-4
Atlantic Coast (8) 2-6
Sun Belt (1) 1-0
Western Athletic (4) 1-3
Independent (1) 0-1
Mid-American (3) 0-3

Naturally, we know the non-BCS leagues aren't the best, so we'll start them at #7. Here are my rankings for the year:

1. Southeastern (9) (7-2) Have the champs, are 3-2 in January, 4-2 against ranked teams, and 5-6 ranked teams. Barely over Big 12 this year.

WINS: Big 10 X 2, ACC X 2, Big 12, WAC, and C-USA
LOSSES: Big 10 and Big 12

2. Big 12 (8) (5-3) 3-1 in January, 4-1 against ranked teams, 5 ranked teams, and 4 in the Top 10. All 8 games against BCS teams.

WINS: ACC X 2, SEC, Big 10, and Pac-10
LOSSES: Big East, SEC, and Big 10

3. Pacific 10 (6) (4-2) Probably 3 ranked teams.

WINS: Big 10, Big East, ACC, and Mountain West
LOSSES: Mountain West and Big 12

4. Big Ten (8) (3-5) 3-5 ranked teams.

WINS: SEC, Big 12, and MAC
LOSSES: SEC X 2, Pac-10, Big 12, and ACC

5. Atlantic Coast (8) (2-6) 3-4 ranked teams.

WINS: Big East and and Big 10
LOSSES: WAC, Big 12 X 2, SEC X 2, and Pac-10

6. Big East (5) (3-2) 2 ranked teams.

WINS: Big 12, MAC, and C-USA
LOSSES: Pac-10 and ACC

7. Mountain West (5) (4-1) 1 ranked team.

WINS: Pac-10, C-USA, WAC, and Independent
LOSS: Pac-10

8. Conference USA (6) (2-4) Probably 0 ranked teams.

WINS: MAC and WAC
LOSSES: SEC, Big East, Mountain West, and Sun Belt

9. Western Athletic (4) (1-3) 1 ranked team.

WIN: ACC
LOSSES: SEC, C-USA, and Mountain West

10. Mid-American (3) (0-3) 0 ranked teams.

WINS: NONE
LOSSES: Big East, Big 10, and C-USA

11. Sun Belt (1) (1-0) 0 ranked teams.

WIN: C-USA
LOSSES: NONE

12. Independents (1) (0-1) 0 ranked teams.

WINS: NONE
LOSS: Mountain West

If they can get Notre Dame to join they will immediately become a powerhouse conference again.

Your status will probably do better if you ask UNT

OSU is a year away from being a very good team. OSU is tied for 2nd for the most BCS wins since the BCS started and have won a NC in the last 5 years and have the most current NFL players and most 1st round NFL picks in history but they are slow because they for some reason struggle with SEC teams in Bowl games. Be like me saying Michigan is super duper fast over all other teams because they own the SEC. Makes no sense. It is silly to judge a team solely on what they have done vs another conference. The Big10 plays the SEC very even head to head every year and this season was no different. The Big10 leads 4-3 in just the last 2 seasons over the SEC but they lost the 2 big ones.

Ohio State bout as good as they will ever be....Ok, they got some players coming back...Lots of schools do....Just that lots of schools got BETTER players....

I like Wells though...He could start for a couple SEC schools....:D

You think UNT would be a better addition to the big 10 than ND. I guess I agree to disagree.
