Congratulations to The Euless Trinity Trojans and Coach Lineweaver. They are a very worthy State Champion who beat an excellent Judson team. ET ran the gauntlet against some very good teams all the way. My goodness. Permian, Bowie, Plano and Judson. Martin would have been a bigger deal if they had their starting QB.

You guys have carried the torch for 7-5A, DFW and Region I. Awesome. It has been great for SGP to be in the same district. Coach Lineweaver and ET really sets the bar high where it should be. Most notably ET well represents Texas High School Football.

Uhhh... I've seen Euless Trinity and Katy.. I'm not so sure Katy hasn't doesn't hold an advantage over ET! It would be a great game, but then again, Katy needs to get past The Pflug tonight!

Either way, we'll never know, so I don't think ET can be called the best "BAR NONE"!

Good point. What impresses me about Trinity was the competition they had to beat to get there, as much as how they performed once there. You are right. That list -- Permian, Bowie, Plano and Judson -- man. Any one of them might have been state champ just about, without Trinity in their way. They can all be proud of the seasons they had. Trinity was just THAT good!

Congrats Trinity - I enjoyed the game because it was just good old down home smash mouth football. Back to basic X's and O's. I thought it might have gone badly for you guys when McGhee tripped over the other player and I felt bad for him but at the end, that smile on his face was too sweet. I don't even know the kid and that was still nice to see. I really wasn't cheering for either team - was just enjoying the game on both sides.

Congrats to Judson on a very fine season as well. Y'all did yourselves proud out there and remember, that second place medal - only 1 other team gets one in your category in the state of Texas. Proudly display it...we still do with the one my husband got at Stratford (as the athletic trainer). Nothing at all to be ashamed of and there are hundreds of football players in the state of Texas who wish they had one today.
