I understand that their only loss was to Midland, but they have been without their starting QB for well over a month now, and they are still winning. Vaughn is supposed to be back soon, and with a 7-1 record I think they could be a real sleeper. A sold running game, great D, and a backup QB that is amoung the district leader board. What is the rest of Texas HS football fans opinion?

who have they beaten? their district isn't traditionally very strong, except monty. it's tough getting good competitive games out in the hinterlands. on the flip side how bout them dubt buffs? 8-0 baby.

I hate to say it, but I've lived in Amarillo and Amarillo football is nothing to write home about. Sorrrrry!
WTAMU has been tearing it up though. GO BUFFS!

Hey I understand what you guys are saying, and I agree. But my humble opinion is they are doing it with the #2 QB and are getting stronger. And Big Arab, I am probably a bit older than you and it was only about 12-15 years ago, football in Amarillo was alot stronger. When I played in 85/86 Palo Duro was 5th in state and we were 9th, and had one hell of a game a Dick Bivins. Don't be suprised if they shake rattle and roll a bit during play-off time. And Heck yeah, them Buffs are Rumblin!
